Country Girl Modern Book Review and Giveaway!!!!

GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED!  WINNER IS RACHEL MARTIN.  THANK YOU!!!

When Jo Kramer told me that her and her daughter Kelli had a book in the making I was beyond excited for them!  I love the bond they share in not only family but quilting together!   One of the reasons  I've been following Jo's blog for years now is they are down to earth type folks.  I enjoy reading regularly about the day in the life of this farming family.  You can catch up with Jo and Kelli at Jo's Country Junction.

The cover of their book is true to who they are!  Quoted from the back of the book, "Bring a bit of country to your modern quilts!  The mother-daughter duo of Jo Kramer and Kelli Hanken brings modern quilting to the country with these 11 updated quilts. From a quilt for a modern-day patriot to a vintage modern design to an Amish-inspired quilt, there is something here for every taste - country or city.  Inspired by country air, traditional roots and modern fun - see how fresh this Country Girl Modern can be!"

....and quilters...I do believe after looking through their book the quote above sums it all up perfectly!

May Flowers is the one that caught my eye straight away.  This pattern takes up 12 pages in the book and with good reason!  There are plenty of easy to read, clear and concise diagrams to follow as they show you step-by-step.

Kansas City Star Quilts did a fantastic job with the publishing and photography too!  The "feel" of the book and I do mean "touch type feel" is very nice for hands to hold and thumb through.

I snapped a photo to show you a few more quilt titles from the book.  You may also see more here.

Here is a list of the blog book tour dates and places to visit.  There are numerous chances to win your very own copy!

March 7th Country Threads
March 8th Michelle's Romantic Tangle
March 9th Quiltville
March 10th Patchwork Times
March 11th Quilt Hollow
March 12th Moda's Cutting Table
March  12th Confessions of a Fabric Addict
March 13th Julie K Quilts
March 14th Sweet P Quilting and Creations

Interested in winning an autographed copy of your own?  Simply leave me a comment.  I'll announce the winner Friday, March 13th.  Could that be your lucky day?  Be sure to check back to see if you are the winner!  (you may want to follow my blog)  If I don't hear within 24 hours of my announcement another name will be drawn.

Jo and Kelli have gone one step further with opening up their very own book sales site and would love to autograph your copy!  You can find more information and awesome photos of their book at Shop Jo's Country Junction.

Thank you Jo and Kelli for asking Quilt Hollow to participate in your very first book blog tour!  I wish you both much success!
