Update On My Life These Days

As promised, a photo of my handsome son and my daughter-in-love!
We have another new family member.  Introducing Bailey!  He is a busy labradoodle with much to learn!  A fellow blogger on IG commented, "May the force be with you!"   What a spot on comment!  LOL
Just one more chemo out of 12 to go!  Hubby is doing pretty good all things considered.  I've stepped up doing so much more than ever in the yards, painting deck, shoveling rock etc.
I did take some time to finish piecing and quilting a few mini quilts however still need binding.

Hopefully the next post won't be so far off and I'll post client quilts.  Thank you to those who are hanging with me and took advantage of the quilt special I offered in May.  I really appreciate you allowing me to "frost" your quilts.

Also my Etsy shop has a few things added finally!

What a beautiful couple. And Bailey! How can you NOT love that face?? I showed my husband Bailey's picture and he just nodded his head. LOL.

Lovely quilts and HOORAY for your hubby! More healthy vibes headed his way.

It's so good to read an update, Mary. I am thrilled that Jeff can now see the light at the end of that long tunnel. Hopefully, it will now just be a battle to build up his strength again. I am sure he feels battered after the 11 rounds.

Your son and DIL are just darling. They make such a cute couple.

You do have your hands full with all the work of a new house AND a new puppy!!! Oh dear! The puppy stage is what holds us back from getting another dog at this stage of our lives. He is surely a cute little guy. Good luck.

Gorgeous young couple! Glad to hear DH is down to the end of chemo. A puppy is a handful! Love your minis. Great catchup post!

It sounds like your busy life is on overload right now. Positive thoughts sent to your hubbie, the happy young couple, and your dealing with adorable little Bailey. Adventures and challenges, every one. Take time for yourself, dear Mary. You deserve it.

What a wonderful post Mary, filled with so much joy! The newlyweds are absolutely gorgeous, what a beautiful couple! Our oldest grandson, one of the two we raised, is getting married next month to his high school sweetheart. They have been a couple now for over seven years.

Bailey is also a really cutie and I'm betting your truly will need the "Force", LOL. However, I have several family members who own Labradodles (one named Bailey too, LOL) But they are so smart, quick to learn and really full of energy and play and just extraordinarily lovable and affectionate too. In my estimation, that's a pretty good combination. I will be pet free in the near future and I know that when my heart heals from the final loss that we are facing soon, I will also be looking at Labra-doddles and Golden-doddles. Even maybe finding a kitty at one of our local shelters. I've never been without a pet in my life, ever, so I'm not sure if I can do it, but we will try, so that we are able to lock up the house and just go for a few nights if we want to, but I don't have high hope for living pet free for the rest of my life, and I don't think I want to.

I'm so happy to read that your hubby is doing well. I have been keeping you both in my prayers constantly and will continue to do so. Sending big hugs and warm thoughts.... Nancy (aka ... teenietaters)

Beautiful couple! Big hugs to you all, including Bailey!

Your beautiful DIL chose a positively lovely wedding gown. Beautiful. The like very happy. I'm glad you have a daughter now. A blessing for your family!

And Baily is coming along with his training. Once Jeff begins to recover his energy, the "boys" will be quite the duo.

Little quilts are sweet. Now I see what you did with your churndash blocks. One of my favorites. How did you ever find the time? You've been busy picking up the slack in house and garden as well as creating the best quilting (frosting) for us happy customers.

We'll talk quilt books when you get back from the beach! :-D

Woohoo! Just one more session of chemo! Warm thoughts to you and your family!

What a gorgeous couple...and I'm not just saying that. I wish them many years of happiness together.

The bride and groom make a lovely couple. Her dress is so pretty. Good picture.

Is Bailey wearing you out? Puppies have so much energy. He is a cutie.

I know you and Jeff are looking forward to the chemo treatments being over. He has done well with being able to work through all of this.
