Comfy, cozy after a day spent with chemo #4 for hubby. Today's news could have been better but we have a great Doc and he calls the news a "pot-hole."
Here's our stone fireplace with gas logs. I'm still tweaking what I want on the mantle. What do you think?

Sorry today wasn't the best. Hope you will skim right over this "pothole" and be on your way to better news. Love your mantel and how you used the mini quilt. The arrangement is pretty perfect in my opinion. You have symmetry, but things aren't perfectly matched. Love it.
Sorry to hear you had a bad day and prayers that things make a change for the better. The mantle looks wonderful, nicely decorated without being too much.

that is a cute looking fireplace. you can always change it later if you decide - nice thing about mantles they are so easy to change when you get tired of one look.
Good luck to your dear hubby - chemo can take it's toll - keep positive thoughts and I am sending them your way.
Beautiful!!
Love your mantel and fireplace decor. Holding you both in my prayers.
Best wishes that the pot hole is a tiny one that can be patched. Hang in there and cuddle up in front of that gorgeous fireplace...love the spools and that beautiful quilt!
Very nice, love the look you have. Hope the pothole can be overcome, positive thoughts to you xx
Love what you have done with the fireplace...perfect. Hope the pot hole doesn't hold hubby up on his road to recovery - sending positive thoughts your way x
Hope next time is better. I love your black mantle it is fantastic you have a great collection of spools and I like how you put that small quilt in the center like that I might have to steal that idea.
Love the spools!
Potholes aren't fun. Hope yours smoothes out.
Hugs :-)
Love the fireplace, the spools and star! Mary, potholes can be filled. I'm pulling for you guys!
Will be praying that the pothole is easily fixed!
Your mantle looks wonderful. I'm sure whatever you finally decide on will be something I would love!! : )
Pretty terrific fireplace, love the stone and raised hearth. Hope the cozy comfy part helped with the pothole :)
Love your mantle. I have the hardest time with them. Sends big hugs to you and hubby
I like how you have the little quilt on point and hanging over the edge. Good idea. And I like the wood spools. I have some of those and should use them at the fireplace. Would need to dig them out of the sewing room closet.
Hoping good news is around the corner and they get that pot-hole fixed!
I'll be praying that the pothole is overcome. I really like what you've done with the fireplace/mantle! The only thing I'll point out is that there is no flag (but that is probably just me, haha!) I love what you did with the spools. Good luck and I hope everything goes well with the wedding.
Pretty fireplace and mantle! Hope and pray the pot hole gets fixed. Take care.
LOVE the fireplace...mantle is soooo Quilt Hollow with the spools, mini quilt and the stars are perfect. It does look super cozy and comfy. I could spend hours there...stitching away :)
Continued prayers for God's healing hand on Jeff and strength for you. <>
what a cozy fireplace. The stone with the mantel is beautiful. did you convert your FP? we've been thinking of doing it.
The fireplace looks so warm and inviting, simply beautiful. Praying for a complete repair to the pothole~
Very cozy! Sure hope that pothole gets fixed real fast.
I think the fireplace looks perfect. But I'm sorry you need to use it. It has been warm here the past few days. My daffodils are blooming. But apparently it's going to get cold again. Time to fire up the wood stove :(
So sorry to hear about the pot-hole!! Let's hope the road crew can work their magic!! Posititve thoughts and prayers are being sent your way!! All the best!
And the fireplace is PERFECT!! Love it!
Big hug!

Love your fireplace!!!
I always think about you on Monday and wonder if it is a day off or a day on. I hope the pot hole gets filled soon and it's smoothe driving again.
Your fireplace looks beautiful. I love the small quilt hanging down. The stone work is lovely too.
I can't believe the wedding is coming up so quickly. Where did those months go? Are you all ready?
Your fireplace is really beautiful. Hope the rest of your husband's journey is pot hole free!
Love your fireplace, big hugs to you and hubby. I pray the "pot-hole" issue clears up nicely!
me gusta, es muy acogedor!!!!!

Sorry you guys hit a pot-hole. I hope things get better soon. Your decorating is so pretty. You made a very cozy looking fireplace area.
Pot-holes are tricky and we almost never see them coming, but chemo is filed under "sink-hole" in my book. From personal observation, I've seen chemo pull hard before releasing to give way to good health...it's hard to hold on to getting to the healthy part, but it'll come around. Meanwhile, your fireplace is looking homey, welcoming and a very comforting place to be. You've always made your home a haven for you and your family. Lots of love there. Here's a hug for you. Hang on.
Have to fill that pot-hole and move on with better results! Love the fireplace and mantle.
Sorry about the "pothole", will pray for better news soon. I like the fireplace. I'm enjoying seeing all the pictures of the new house!

Oh Mary! I have not been doing much with blogs lately and did not know that your DH has cancer. I am so sorry to hear it but glad to hear that he is in good hands! I pray he will fight hard and win the battle to good health again!!!
I love your fireplace. The arrangement is great. It is fun to have a place to celebrate the various seasons as the year moves on and you change the arrangement.
Hugs from Holland,
Heidi
Sorry to hear about your "pothole" and hope things improve. I love your fireplace and the items you have on the mantle but I'm not fond of symmetry so I would move the large star and quilt to one end of the mantle and balance it with the other items.
I love your fireplace and mantle.I'm sorry to hear about your hubby. I've been away from blogging for quite awhile. Praying for good news. Hugs!!!
love it! sorry about your "Pot hole" today hoping for a brighter tomorrow!
I love your style and your way of presenting your quilts - it is such an appropriate way to do it! Now will you come an organise my living space please? ;) xCathy (ps giveaway at mine?)
