Treasures

Some will call it clutter and I call it treasure!  Today I unpacked some things that were stored in boxes this past year.   Most of my pieces were bought in German markets while stationed there.  The fun begins to figure out where to place them in our new home.

I love all of your treasures. I have a couple of salt crocks from Germany and also my flour sifter. I also have my wooden shoe mold you gave me. Love it and the old irons that I also found while in Germany. What fun to finally get to pull your treasures out and place them in your new home. You always decorated your house so wonderfully.

I love unpacking items that I haven't seen for awhile. It makes me remember when and where I got them and just how much I love it:)

Oh Mary! What a beautiful collection! Pieces like that add such warmth to a home. Placed in special spots around the house, they kind of say "Come on in and get comfy". I had a group of friends here years back and they were all commenting on the 'warmth' of my home. I was surprised, but delighted that they found my little now 38 year old house to be so comfortable. I think that surrounding ourselves with things we love, sets that tone. I do hope to see pics as you get more decorating done. I hope your hubby is fairing well and will continue to keep you both in my prayers. Hugs...

Just takes some puttin' and movin' to tweak those treasures into just the right place...easy for me to say, lol. But so happy to see your "old friends" once again. Will be nice to have those pieces that bring back fond memories of Germany and life as it happened throughout the years. Happy decorating! :-D
