For Me...An Easier Way

The Schnibble pattern for June's parade is Dulcinea.  There are four sections to be trimmed down before  sewing them together to make the pinwheel block. The above photo shows you how the pattern directions guide you to trim to 3.5" unfinished.
I'm thankful I have this ruler to get the same results.  I'm even more thankful I remembered I had it because this is a much easier way for me.  Just thought I'd share.

I have rulers to make things easier, but I can never figure it out, my brain doesn't work that way, lol.

Great tip for using the ruler!

I didn't trim to 3 1/2" as that seemed to be a waste of fabric so I have a bigger finished size. When I say finished - I still have to do the binding.

I have used that ruler for almost 10 years now and it is the best "special" ruler I ever bought! I love that they are squared then pressed.

I just trimmed mine the way the pattern advised using my square up ruler. I agree that we should use a method that's best for us, that's why there are so many rulers. My pieces are trimmed but not sewn into blocks yet. I like the colors you're using.

Hmmm, pretty nifty gadget. I think I need to go shopping.

That must be the only QIAD ruler I don't have, on second thought maybe I should check the drawer of rulers that I have forgotten about and forgot how to use. Thank you for sharing.

Well thank you for sharing because I went down to my LQS and they just got them in and told me they can't keep them in stock because they are soooooo loved. Thank you, didn't even know they existed!
