Bestest Friends in Blogland Ever!

This is what happens when you celebrate your birthday just days before Christmas.  So many lovely gifts arrive at once.  Each gift a real treasure because it comes from the heart and hands of the friends I've made either through my quilting business or bloggers I've gotten to know through the years.

There are a few gifts I've already shown in previous post and some gifts may have been eaten....but this is the bulk and if by chance I've forgotten to show one please forgive me.  Please know how much I love and appreciate all my gifts.  I truly felt so special and you all know who you are!
My husband and youngest son watched the day I opened my birthday presents and then when it came time to open my Christmas presents watched me again.  They sat in disbelief that I hadn't met most of you, yet  I receive such special treasures.  As I opened each one I was able to sit and tell them a short story about you, your life, and about your family.  This you can do of a friend.  Thank you friends for making my holidays extra special.

Mary, you are a treasure to many, and especially to me. If it wasn't for you, I'd be a babe (no, not "that" kind of babe) lost in the woods.

You have directed me to many things through quilting. Your work has been an inspirations to many.

Hugs to a deserving Lady.

You are very welcome. That is neat that you share with your family about the people that sent you gifts. You sure did get some pretty things.

And you deserve each and every one of them, Mary.

Only special people are showered with gifts in this manner.

Christmas Day I was telling my mum and dad about friends I'd been emailing that I've met through quilting blogs who live in farms in the USA. I grew up on a farm here in Australia, that they still run. They were very interested and amazed, and my dad has lots of questions for them now about crops, acreage and livestock! Your story of your husband and son amazed at friends you've never met reminded me of this.

My family has enjoyed getting to know my quilter friends too, all through blogging stories shared. We are all like pen pals with the benefit of email and texting. Fun. Glad you were treated so well on your birthday and Christmastime. You've done the same for many of us. Your friendship is valued. :-D
