A Bit of This and Some of That

While taking care of mom in October I pieced a few small doll quilts/table toppers.  They are now quilted, bound and ready for gifting.  This is just a preview as I will show more when I post and link with Christmas Through The Year.
Thanksgiving with my guys both home was wonderful!  They are my best accomplishment.  This mom cannot be prouder of these fine young men!
It's always a sad day when we must return our youngest back to college.  While he drove I snapped a picture of the Carolina blue sky as we went up the mountain.
 "Hey! Where did everybody go?"
Our neighborhood deer visits often and loves when people are outside with him.  He likes when a leaf blower, lawn mower or even jalopy engine is running because that means he has outside company.  He just cracks me up!

The simple pattern of those little quilts is the perfect palette for your gorgeous quilting. What treasured gifts they will be.
Hard to have to keep re-emptying the nest, isn't it? : )

I love my kids, but glad they live elsewhere, lol.
They are close enough, so we can visit anytime.
Love that deer, so cute.

it really is time to call wildlife services and have him removed before he ends up as steaks on someone's bbq :(

Your little deer fellow is so sweet! But his sweetness could definitely end up being his downfall! Your little mini pieces are quite gorgeous -- the quilting on them really is wonderful! Looks like your Thanksgiving was very special! :)

Sweet little quilts, Mary. Can't wait to see more. :-) Your CTTY post will be fun.

Your men are dapper dudes. I can see why you're a proud mama.

The deer peeking in the window is sweet.

I am amazed your little furry friend isn't scared of all the loud noises of the machines! So glad you got time with the kids! It is the best! My oldest gets home in a few weeks and we will all be together again - can't wait! I ordered different fabric for what I was working on - afraid of the white on white/shiny stuff so am redoing and soon as my fabric comes in hope to finish this topper :O) (there are reds in this... fat quarters I couldn't wash.. (needed every inch... but tested a scrap in hot water and no bleeding... I sure hope this quilt is safe! I am so afraid to wash some things now....but everything can't be a wall quilt! :O)

The little quilts are darling--I just love that scrappy mix. And having both sons home for the holidays can't ever be a bad thing. We missed having our younger daughter with us :(

A neighborhood deer--what a novelty! Has anyone named him (her?) yet?

Wow, Your new 'pet' is amazing. Can you get close enough to pet him? Amazing he likes all the noise of the power equipment.

The little quilts are very cute.. I'm pleased you got to have some quality time with both your gorgeous boys, it seems that as they get older, those times become less frequent. Love the deer!

thats so funny about the dear! we used to have the same problem until they started dear culling in town every year. I would walk downstairs and in the kitchen I can see them standing right by the window just eating away on the flowers....cute but destructive at the same time...
I hate taking her to the airport to go back to college, it was really hard this time she was only home 3 days
I love those quilts and your quilting makes them even more special I bet the recipients are going to be thrilled

The quilts are adorable. And your best accomplishments are a handsome pair. Even the youngest is so "grown up" now. Glad you were able to spend some time with them over the holidays,

It must be cool having the deer visit. We have a few raccoon friends, but they're still very bashful. :-)

I wish I had a visiting deer, how precious! Hope that no one takes advantage of the fact that he's pretty tame. Next he'll be knocking at your door!

CCTV drain survey London are becoming more and more necessary as many mortgage lenders are requiring them prior to the approval of loans. It is also very good practice if you are looking to buy any property if you want to avoid any expensive repair bills for blocked or collapsed drains. Of course leaking drains can cause more than damage to just themselves, permanent damage could also be inflicted on the foundations of the house also.
