Remember My Surgery Date for Friday?

For the past month I've been mentally preparing myself for my sinus surgery that was set for this Friday. The doctor's office called to tell me of a loss in his family and they wanted to reschedule for next Tuesday. I didn't hesitate to say NO for next week! My son is coming home from college and a few other assorted celebrations on the calendar. SO....new date is January 6th.

Today's mail brought a box from Carrie P. Two of her packages I planned to open next week and the third went under the tree. I thought it was cute that the above said, "the patient." When Carrie found out my surgery was postphoned she said to open it. YUM!!! Cookies!!! (hey Carrie...January 6th okay...send more!) LOL Thanks girlfriend they are so good!

I also thought I couldn't participate in Heidi's 2nd FNSI of December! But now I can since I'm caught up and won't be drugged from surgery. If you wish to participate link up with Heidi.

As of today I think I will be working on stitchery projects that I start and then they sit. I was cleaning out some things the other day and found these again. I've also got a reindeer stitchery to finish up.

I would have been willing to postpone surgery too. I was going to write to you and ask if you were nervous about your surgery. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you next Tuesday. Yummy cookies. Have fun doing your embroidery. I'm signed up for the Friday Nite Sew-In too, need to get last minute sewing done.

If you aren't too bothered by sinus problems now, how nice to be able to put it off til after the holidays! Sorry for your Dr's loss though. The cookies look wonderful! And stitching is good. :-) Have a happy rest of the week!

I'm sorry and I'm glad that your surgery has been postponed. :-)

The blessing is that you'll have a nicer Christmas.

Love your new project.

Oh no, to get yourself psyched up for that, and then have to reschedule. Enjoy your holidays, andmaybe Carrie will send more cookies.

I know you understand the reason your doctor had to postpone the surgery, but it's a bummer to have to get yourself all psyched up for it again and to have it still hanging over your head for Christmas. :(

Surgery can wait, but cookies can't! I like your idea of "send more"!

That would be so hard to have surgery right before Christmas...glad you said no.

At least that's one thing you cam forget about until Xmas is over. The cookies look delicious, tell Carrie I don't remeber that recipe on her blog, maybe she needs to share the love, lol. Dh has sinus surgery this year and recovered very well, I hopoe the same applies to you when the time comes.
A bit of stitchery looks like just the thing for a bit of relaxing.

Those look like my favorite cookies, Molasses Crinkles, yum! What a lovely gift. Nice of your doc to try to schedule for next week (before most insurance restarts) but really poor timing just before Christmas! Hope your poor head will be okay until the 6th. Cute stitcheries!

Mmmm. Those look like my favorite Ginger Crinkle cookies!!
I'm sure you would like the surgery to be over with, but I think it is good to have the holiday reprieve.
I wish you well on your stitchery for FNSI.

I'm glad you got reprieve from surgery this week. It would be nice if it didn't have to be done at all, but it will be nice to enjoy your son being home.

It stinks that your surgery was postponed, since you were prepared - but now you will have a little more time to get ready for Christmas! Happy stitching!

Oh YAY! I sure would NOT want to have that particular surgery this close to Christmas! January 6 is a much, much better date!! Enjoy FNSI and Christmas and ringing in the New Year, too!!!! HUGS!!!! :)

I agree that the postponement was a blessing. Now you can be able to enjoy Christmas. But the agony of "waiting" for surgery is terrible too. Ask me how I know.
And recovery can take much longer than one thinks.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!
