Here are a few finishes that I quilted and bound yesterday that I thought I'd share with you.

I simply quilted "plumes" or what I like to call "peacock feathers" all over the top for texture.

Thanks to
Kathie's blog post about two weeks ago I spotted this quilt pattern. It was simple, yet each block had a custom block quilted. I think the quilting made this little 18" table topper all the more special. I quickly whipped up two of them.

Sometimes when I quilt on my longarm there is enough backing and batting leftover to quilt another little motif to use for a pillow top, table topper or even a runner. I've been wanting to stitch these bunny rabbits. This is now a small mini topper or could be a large mug rug. I wished I would have chosen a darker thread color so the design would have shown more. The lighting is helping to see this design on this little mini wholecloth number.

I also finished the little leftover half-square triangles quilt. It is so cute! I want it to be washed, dried and crinkled to tuck in a basket. A meander stitch would have been wonderful too but I love the peacock feathers.

If you are after the giveaway post please leave a comment to win at the previous post for the patterns. Thanks!

I love that little wholecloth! It's just fabulous.
Hey Mary! Those little quilts are all so wonderful, but I LOVE that little whole cloth one. Those bunnies are fantastic!
I'll be calling you later today...did you watch 'Survivor' last night? The challenge at Redemption Island made me a little nervous for a bit....
Chat soon!
XOXO,

Lovely! I've tried to do the plume on my home sewing machine but just don't have enough room to really get the beautiful exaggerated curve. I like the texture very much!
The bunnies are adorable. What a great little project.
UHHH! I so love the mini whole cloth! Your quilting is always exquisite.
These are beautiful -- they make me want to reach out and TOUCH! Great work Mary!! :)
OH MY GOODNESS ! I just love the bunnies WOW! JUST GORGEOUS !
Wow, you're getting some great stuff finished. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, those bunnies! Very nice Mary! Congrats on a wonderful job. You're the best quilter :) We got hit by a major storm bomb this am and got 10 " of heavy wet snow in 4 hours!
You are amazing, these are so beautiful.
Great finishes, Mary!! I love the texture your quilting adds. The peacock feathers are gorgeous...something I might even be able to do (need to start doodling them! LOL) The wholecloth is sweet, too! It must be phenomenally satisfying to finish so much, including your son's fabulous quilt! Awesome work!
Blessings,
Mary Lou
Those peacock feathers are lovely in the quilting as well as the block designs. I love you whole cloth design too. Beautiful! You have been having fun!
You whip them out? I am amazed at how amazing these are. I love your talent and the way you express it!
Wow girl, you are really good! A natural for sure. Didn't take you long at all! Love every one of them. I have so much respect for all you longarm quilters because I am completely inept at the quilting process. Even straight lines. So sad! :)
Wow! They are all wonderful, but the whole cloth is really cute. Looks like you had a fun time at the machine! Have a happy weekend!

I do believe you've outdone yourself with this whole cloth quilting - love the bunny motif. You've put some beautiful quilts together and are oh so smart about loading on extras to utilize the leftover space on the backing/batting. :-D
Wow Mary you work magic with your machine. Your quilting is perfect! I love the little wholecloth quilt with the bunnies.
Oh the colours! Oh the texture! Love them, what batting do you use?
