Star Blocks Needed.....and My Winner!

The star blocks above are headed to The Scrappy Appleyard for grieving family quilts. We are a retired military family and have seen great loss among our own friends in the military community. It is with saddened heart that these pieced stars are needed. Please read more at The Scrappy Appleyard blog.

I had a different plan for these star blocks when I first made them months ago. They then sat as everything else took priority. I'm honored these will serve a better purpose. God Bless the men and women serving our nation and those who gave their lives for our freedom.

A huge thank you goes out to all your bloggers who took the time to go over to Kimberly Einmo's new website and congratulate her on her third book! Her winners are posted on her blog. I had encouraged you to go over and tell her I sent you and WOW what a response! Oh yes I did tease that I would have a possible winner of my own for following through! I'm pleased to announce that Cyndi of Bluebird's Wing as won an autographed copy too! Congrats to all the winners!

It is indeed a sad time for John'aLee and her family. My star blocks were mailed out to her today.

And OH~MY~GOSH!!!! I am thrilled to win this book! I had purchased a copy of her second book and used it as a give away prize on my blog....didn't get one for myself! :o( So I will definitely be keeping this one and I know I'm going to have some fun with it! Thanks so, so much, Mary! I deeply appreciate it!

XOXO,

Cyndi

Beautiful star blocks (I sent mine Tuesday). I hope John'aLee can get enough to make a quilt for herself, too.
Congrats, Cyndi!
