Plans Change

Yesterday afternoon I got this good size quilt loaded on longarm to start quilting today.

Plans change when the phone rings and it is your real estate office saying they want to show your home. This is the third possible buyer since we put our home on the market in May. The market here is horrible and a darn shame the town has no growth. I'm not holding my breath for an offer. However, changed my plans from quilting today to straighten up a bit.

UPDATE TO THIS POST! I received another call today (just two hours before showing) they cancelled coming.....sigh.

That is a gorgeous quilt. I just love basket quilts. Is this one that you pieced?

The market here in Michigan is beyond belief of depressing. It's a nightmare.

Good luck with the showing. I hope it sells.

The real estate market sucks lemons everywhere right now.... I'll be praying that the third time (prospective buyers) is the charm!

Lots of luck with the sale of your house. Where will be moving to? You will be back to quilting as soon as they walk out the door RIGHT LOL

I love that quilt and the fabrics, looks a lot of some of the quilts in books I have. With all the disasters lately, I would think the housing market would be up;)

Oh my I don't envy you on that house showing business - it's the pits. Always being ready at the drop of a hat and when you relax a tich because it's been awhile - you can bet that's the day you have a showing. I sure hope you can sell it soon and move forward. Side note - LOVE that quilt your getting ready to stitch.

Hugs- Karen

Good luck with the house. Definitely a hard time to be selling. Are you moving next door to me so you can be my quilter? : )

Hope the showing goes well for you . . . did you bake any cookies? I swear by it *s*

Hope this time you get an offer. Selling a house is the worst. I never felt we could really truly live in our house when it was on the market since everything has to be so extra tidy all the time. Good luck. Hopefully you can sew after the showing.

Beautiful quilt.
Have you ever heard about the positive "influence" of burying a little figure of St. Joseph in your yard? Two friends who followed the instructions precisely sold their homes in weeks. Google it. Can't hurt.
Good luck!

It's another beautiful quilt. Is it yours or a customer quilt?

Good luck with the showing....Turn all the lights on and make it smell wonderful.

Bury yourself a statue (small) of St. Joseph. It can't hurt to get a little "divine intervention" with the house selling. Google it. :)

PunkiePie (Jen) said...

And I see Vivian gave you the same advice!

Melanie said...

Good luck on the showing...I love this quilt. I have the pattern. I;ve collected fabric...Just need to collect the time....Be sure to show us how you quilt it...

Gerri said...

That's great news about the showing. My fingers are crossed for you. (You must have gotten that statue.) ;)

I'm sure the quilting will be well worth the wait.

Love the quilt. The housing market here is terrible too. They said today that house prices have dropped for the seventh month in a row. Fingers crossed the buyers have found their dream home in your home.

Cheryl said...

What a shame...I have loved that quilt since I saw the pattern! Good vibes going your way for a buyer.

Janet said...

The quilt is beautiful, I hope the house showing bought went well. It's pretty tough selling a home. Best of luck.

Beautiful quilt..its a shame it has to wait! Hope these folks are buyers and not just lookers! :)

I guess it's good that your house was shown, but darn! Couldn't they have better timing? Hope they at least make an offer to make up for the inconvenience!

Ick! We are looking at putting our house on the market before the end of the year. Want it to sell, but not looking forward to the process of having to live in it at the same time. Hope yours sells soon!!

I hope that a buyer looks soon! I know that the market is bad all over. Here in Michigan it's the same way. Things have got to get better soon.
