I'm Feeling Like Me Again!!

July 2011 goes down in the record book as a blurr for me. I just can't believe how sick I was and am finally feeling like me again. I've spent the last couple of days back to work quilting and will show Valerie's quilt when I'm finished.

Because I like to see a photo with a post I am showing a peek of my "Let it Snow" quilt. I've been slowly stitching on snaps and buttons for their faces and the noses are wool.

For those who are always so kind to ask about how the sale of our home is coming along; it's not. We've had only two lookers. Houses in this area seem to be on the market just over a year before selling. Thankfully we have lots of time and we are excited to start building on the lot we purchased once this home is sold.

The Snowmen are adorable! I had so much fun talking and visiting with you yesterday! It's a relief hearing you are finally on the mend and going slowly! What pattern is the Snowmen from? Stay well and be cool!

So glad you are feeling better. And it's good to know that you are not in a hurry to move. We looked for a house for over a year before we found the one we finally bought. It's a strange market, for sure.

Our house is on the market too; it's NOT my favorite thing! Luckily, like you, we've got time. We're happily living in the RV and the house is empty, so when it sells, it sells. Good luck to you all! :)

Hi Mary! I have been around blogland here and there but with no rhyme or reason, that seems to be the case since I got up and around after my last surgery in May. My sewing has been the same way though I am settling into more of a routine again. I just had to let you know how sorry I was to hear (read) that you have been so very sick. I've had problems with my intestinal tract for years after a serious bout with ecoli 10 years ago. BUT, I've never had Diverticulitis though I had a close friend that did and I don't think I have ever seen anyone, nor have I ever been in so much pain. She also thought her back was out for several weeks, until one day she collapsed in pain at work and they rushed her up to the hospital, where they kept her for 4 days, purely for pain control. She told me that the month she was off work was completely lost to her, much like you said about July. I wish I had known, you have been so watchful and caring through my issues and I didn't even check in on you. I'm so sorry. I'm truly happy to see that you are getting back up and around. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Gentle Hugs...

Cute snowmen! (women?) :-)

I am sending best wishes your way! We never did sell our old house but did manage to find tenants. Not what we want but it sure is a bad market so what is one to do? I won't even tell you what happened to the value of it when we got a new appraisal a couple of weeks ago. SIGH.

So good to see a post from you. Love the snowman quilt. I have that pattern so must pull it out and think about working on it. Sorry about the house selling. It's the pits, I know. But just think...it gives you more time to think about what you really want in the new one. (did that help? LOL)

I'm so glad you are feeling better now. It is amazing how we can totally lose time with certain health problems. The snowman quilt is coming along so cute! I'm sure the house will sell in time and, like you said, you have time yet......

Happy to hear that you are 'back in the saddle' again, Mary. Being sick is no fun at all.

You just need a quilter to be shown your house and it'll be gone in an instant. Make sure you tell your realtor to screen the buyers. *wink*

I know about July blurring - I had too much happen too. (including a small surgery) The month is over and I hardly had a chance to realize it was July - maybe that isn't so bad since it is so hot here.

I am loving your "let it snow" qult.

I bet you are totally happy to be up and at 'em. Sorry the house thing is a mess....Hopefully that can clear itself up too. Maybe it's a bit of blessing. Can you imagine trying to get the house ready to show while you were sick?!?!

Nice to hear you are up and about and doing well, Mary. Have thought of you often and wondered how you were. No, houses do not seem to be selling right now. We have had people checking it out, but no bites. Plan to go to MLS next. I just love that snowman quilt - so different and so special. Judy C sends her best to you

Take it easy, and return to your normal routine slowly. So glad to read that you're feeling better.

The snaps for the snowman eyes are just the cutest. I'm always looking for ways to use some of my sewing supplies I've had set back for years.
