Seeing Stars Finished!

I feel as though I pecked along on this quilt forever. It has been on the frame way too many days (weeks) and when I was working on it I was spending up to 6 hours a day quilting. The progress was slow going because of the large variety of quilt motifs used.

Because Jan named this quilt "Seeing Stars" I felt it needed a few extra little quilted stars. Can you see them?

Perhaps in these photos.

The backing is a very comfy soft flannel and I just love seeing the texture of the quilting!

What a slacker you are!! Six hours a day and for that teeny-tiny bit of quilting!? LOL I didn't think I'd see another one as good as my Log Cabin and Fans -- but you continue to outdo yourself and amaze us all!! Very, very, very cool!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

I am surprised you don't have to have people take a number, get in line, win a lottery to have a quilt quilted by you.

The quilting is over the top beautiful on this quilt. Something to be proud of. I know the quilt owner is going to be thrilled.

Wow - that texture is gorgeous on the flannel! Your quilted stars look very nice. I love your motifs - you have some of the "traditional" feathers that I love, but also some unique motif combinations that are not the same things we see a lot of. What a great job you've done. :)

Absolutely so beautiful. I have a question. Do you use the same thread threw the whole quilt or do you change it also do you use a different thread on the back. Also how do you chose the pattern that your going to use. Sorry I had more then 1 question.

Wow Mary, your quilting on this quilt is just phenomenal. Have you considered entering any longarm contests? You've come so far in such a short amount of time; it really is a talent and you've done a beautiful job cultivating it. Every time I see new photos on your blog, I want to sit right down and make something just so I can send it to you to quilt.

And I am in love with the star chain border on this Seeing Stars quilt. It really pulls it all together and makes me want to keep looking some more.

OMG - I love it! My friend wrote on fb that it was finished and I raced "over" to see it. I knew you were the right person to put the winning shine on my quilt. I love what you have done and so glad you showed the back and that I used the flannel over the flat I originally set aside (and lost). I am sorry that it took so much time but WOW, you rock! Thank you!

I love the way you quilted my two quilts. I got exactly what I wanted. Your quilting is BEAUTIFUL!
The quilt that won the show was an antique Cathedral Windows.
I have more quilts to get ready for you. Sigh! I love the piecing soooo much I just end up hanging them on the back of the door and start another quilt!
