Love it!

This is Kim Diehl's pattern called, "Bittersweet Briar Cotton" from her book "Simple Graces."

My girlfriend Shirley made me this top using both cotton and wool. To see the quilt top in person is better than this photo. The quilt top is stunning! I'm truly lucky to have such a wonderful friend to make this top for me. I had to share the top now and someday you'll see it quilted. I can already see this hanging in our future new home!

I love this quilt -- and it is stunning in wool. What a wonderful friend you have.

I took this project as a class from Kim in 2010 and have my quilt top ready to quilt (just haven't quilted it). I love her machine applique technique. (This is a link to my finished top: http://bountifulheirlooms.blogspot.com/2010/02/bittersweet-briar-finished-is-better.html)

I love Kim Diehl's patterns!! And that is just up our alleys, huh!? I can see it hanging at the Hollow or here at the homestead! :-D So excited about your building plans!! It's an adventure, for sure, but very, very rewarding. Are you already designing your studio?
Blessings,

Truly beautiful! I'm supposed to be sewing samples for my friend's new quilt shop opening in June but our new grandbaby made her arrival a couple of weeks early yesterday so I'm tending my other two granddaughters. Big smiles.....I can't think of anything better for me to be doing :)

Have a great day.
