It's Me Again

Another week has vanished just like that! Here is a peek of Mary's quilt that I'm in the process of quilting. If your interested in making this quilt you can find the pattern FREE at Kaaren's blog, The Painted Quilt.

Do you remember the post I did a few back showing the new property of our future home? The next step is to sell this. I have mixed emotions as I love my home however the move is better for my husband's commute. We can't leave the county until my son finishes school this next year, at same time need this house to sell to start building, at same time don't want to move twice! We don't expect our home will sell anytime soon since nothing seems to be moving these days. A neighbor down the road has had their home up for sale since February and only two viewings without offers!

Quilts have been arriving UPS and USPS....I want to say thank you to all of you who have trusted me with your quilt tops. You're the best!!

Your quilting designs are so perfect for this sweet quilt!
I hope your home sale and move go smoothly. Though it is rarely an easy task, I hope the plans for the new house keep you happy about it all. My DH and I were just walking the dogs talking about how long we have been in Cambria. We are coming up on 12 years. When we first came up here, we lived in a tiny one bedroom house with our 'stuff' stored in 3 different spots for almost 2 1/2 years. The move after that was pretty easy :-)

Mary's quilt is really pretty. I love Kaaren's stitchery designs, too.

Good luck with the sale of your house, and with building the new one!

The hearts and pun'kin seeds are just perfect for the quilt! I'm not much of a "hearts and flowers" girl, but those designs make me rethink it! :-D Beautiful as usual!
Your house is so pretty -- and I know you love it. But building is always a plus -- especially with as many moves as you've made, you probably have a pretty good idea about what you want! I'm trusting that your beautiful INterior will sell the house as much as the beautiful exterior!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

I don't know. Sometimes it just takes the right person at the right time. Look at Simply Libby....sold her house in just days in the tough New England market. As impeccably clean as your house is, it should sell in no time.

I hope the sale of you home comes with good timing! I wish I could convince my husband to move...I would love to live in NC! Winters would be much more tolerable there!

You have a beautiful home, I hope it sells, so you can start your new one. I wish we could move to get closer to my husband's work, but we owe too much, lol.

Love your blog! You do such wonderful quilting. I am working on my first quilt. (Finally, a dream come true!) It has been so much fun, and I will be doing more. I will keep you in mind for quilting.

Love the picture of your cat. Our little kitty Mew is black also. :)

What a pretty quilt and the quilting looks perfect for it.
Your house is so pretty. If I had to sell mine I'd feel a bit sad too. I'm sure the idea of a new house will be exciting.

Mary, your home reminds me of when we used to live in North Carolina. It is a beautiful home and I have a very good feeling that it will sell.

You may be surprised how quick it will sell! It's gorgeous and deco'ed so beautifully! You must have a side career going on as an interior decorator, right? in your spare time, LOL!

I just finished another Raggedy Ann block yesterday for the same quilt you are working on.

This is a time of year when house sales pick up. About the time when kids are getting out of school. Maybe you will have better luck than the neighbor.

Loved the quilt peek today - we are getting ready to put our house up for sale - we just need a one-story really bad. Wishing you luck as well, Judy C sends her best

Good luck on selling the house. Thankfully we don't have that worry under our belt.

I know just what you are going through - but moving twice (or more *s*) it's what ALL the cool kids are doing *lol*
Having your home on the market is an anxiety riddled time, keeping it 'magazine clean' while trying to live your life all while hoping someone will see the potential of making their home.
Good luck to you. It's not easy, but when you finally land where you want to be it will all be worth it in the end. Trust me, I know!

Enjoyed seeing this adorable quilt...selling, building and moving is stressful but think of it as a new journey for your family. Enjoy the weekend and send some of your sunshine my way! Rain, rain and more rain!

Good luck with your home sell Mary. I am ready to move, growing up with a military mother who moved every year, I have always moved around. I actually like it. I know crazy, we have been on our house for 4 years now and I think it is the longest I have ever live anywhere.

I'm sure you have a lovely home to sell and will find yourself packing in no time at all, hopefully you'll get that bit of extra time you're hoping for. I would not want to move twice either. Good that you have your quilting to keep you busy every day and it must be pool time pretty soon, too, so all you need to do now is sit back in the sunshine with a good read and some lemonade while you wait for the sale to happen. . :-D
