I'm Back

Thought I'd quickly post that I'm back from my Atlanta longarmer convention. Here are just a few photos I'll share with you. This are not my quilts but samples shared by our instructors. The pink wholecloth was just adorable!

Sweet pebble quilting on this one.

One of my last classes I took was called, "Quilting is just not for quilts anymore." I listened to her lecture for the first hour and ditched the class to go back to a favorite instructor on something more useful to me personally. I did snap these photos first. I thought this tiny tote was cute and two sided. I have more photos but just not anything exciting.

Why I ditched the class; it was mostly about quilting/designing clothing. Her work was beautiful just not me.
Today has been spent playing catch up with the house, laundry, grocery and emails. I received some quilts while gone and have those to catch up on that were here when I left. I can't wait to fire up Gam tomorrow.
I've missed you.

I ditched a class at Paducah Kentucky too. After a few minutes I KNEW it was not for me.
Glad you are home and safe.
I am working on the Blessings from the Hollow quilt from Kim Brackett's book!!

It looks like it was a fabulous convention. Those wholcloths are amazing and I love the bags!!! Isn't it the pits to come back and try to play catch up?

Sometimes you have to do that with the class ditching, but that tote is so very adorable. Love those colors together and the quilting is gorgeous!

Have fun getting all caught up:)

I can certainly understand not wanting to sit through a class where the the information will not be utilized - would be a waste of my time and their space. The whole cloth quilts are so beautiful. What eye candy. Judy C

Glad you're back. Sorry you got a dud class. I hate when that happens. It's fun to try new things but at the age I am, I quickly prioritize...do I really want to do this? I ditch things too.

Welcome home! I hope you had a great time at the retreat. Just love the pink whole cloth and the pebble quilting! Sometimes the classes we sign up for are not for us or not as advertised-"ditching" makes perfect sense! Enjoy the week!

POOH about getting a class that wasn't suitable for you. I'm guessing they didn't advertise it as being mostly about clothing. I do love the pictures you showed on this post, though. Enjoy your day with "Gam" tomorrow!

Welcome back! Looks like there were lots of great things to learn! How fun! The coming back to laundry and chores is kinda a drag, but learning so much does make up for it! ;-) Have a happy week!

Welcome back. The 2 quilts are wonderful and I loved the quilting on the pink bag too. Was this more like a retreat where you worked on your own things or more a convention with loads of great classes and teachers? Either way I'm looking forward to seeing what you did or what you learned.
