Word Up - What Would Be Your Word?

Kelly at Charming Girls Club has asked us to come up with a word for 2011. While there are a few who are struggling to find "their" word mine came quickly. It was easy...just BREATHE.

Breathing is something I take for granted. Breathing is to be alive. Give me a moment to breathe under a stressful situation for a sense of calm. I love the touch of a natural fabric that breathes like quilting cotton. I love breathing to take in the fresh smell of a flower, flavor or lovely aroma in the air.

Breathing life into a quilt as an artist into a painting. Just breathe.

Now I'm going to take a breather from the computer.

See ya later.

That is funny, I have that problem, I don't breath, lol.
I went to therapy for my ribs and they had me do exercises to use my lungs more, I tend to hold my breath without realizing it.

I have another blogging friend that is choosing a "word" too. I have so much that I need to work on for myself. Patience, trust, acceptence ( of myself), I don't even know where to start in choosing a word.

Well, seeing as you took "breathe" first, LOL, which I really like, my second choice is an acrony - KISS-Keep it Simple Shelley! Sometimes, I can make things so much more complicated than need be LOL! then, I drive my self crazy and it all gets too much when I just should have KISS'd!

Sweet! Mine came easy, too -- CONNECT -- which is tougher than it sounds, for an introvert like me. Have fun with your word! :)

I did that yesterday!

This is the best word I've heard for the year yet! I'm loving all the thoughts I get about "just breathe." It's one of my favorite moments in a favorite movie of mine "Ever After." I tend to think of a word for my year after it's all over. I'm just not creative enough to think of one before I see how the year is going, lol! Have a great day my friend.

ONE word...You picked a great one! I'll be giving this some thought because it's a good way to focus, isn't it!? The first one that comes to mind is "manage" -- time, money, resources...But that sounds so blah, huh!? :-D I'll keep working on it!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

Good choice Mary...very good choice. Mine would be Rest I think. Not as in sit and do nothing....Rest in Him first of all but also Rest in the stitching...don't be in such a hurry to get to the finish. blessings, marlene

that is the right word I do believe--I thought mine would be "focus"--and I did "focus" on projects today--but I also got stressed out--so don't know now---may have to rethink it!!!

That is a perfect word, Mary, and one that I think so many of us take for granted! The breath of life is precious to us all!

Oh, I tell that to all our new sewing gals (and some old) - when they get frustrated and ready to give up - "just breathe". Love it.
