Love This Little Star!

Okay, so I got a bit side-tracked again. I couldn't help it! When I saw this Lone Star block in the Stars By Magic book I just knew I'd have to give it a try. Would you believe this block is only 6 inches? This block was a challenge for me to pay very close attention to details in the instructions and by no means will you have this one done in much less than an hour. I love it!

Wow! And no Y seams? It turned out really nice, I can see why you are getting distracted.

I keep the book diagrams in front of me while I am working on the sewing part. It can be confusing if you don't pay attention. But a good way to get an accurate star that normally would be hard to piece.

Perfection! I may have to get that book. It's on my wish list at Amazon (as if I need any more books).
You're just quilting up a storm!

It's always good to challenge ourselves in the sewing room. I really do like this star. It sews up nicely and appears to be well worth the time spent getting to know this technique. :-D

I love it too! There's something about 'stars'...

Hi Mary, I LOVE that star. Gotta find that pattern it is just gorgeous. It was so fun to see you at the Word Up Party too. I really had a great time, especially seeing what everyone else was working on. Found myself spending more time blog hopping than sewing, LOL. Big Hugs...

I bought this book some years ago, and love it! Haven't finished any quilts yet, just a table runner and lots of blocks. Awesome methods used, and hope to make a quilt of my blocks soon, too.
Yours looks so great!
