A Little Bit of Quilting

Today was my first "work day" for 2011. I love my job quilting for others.

I wasn't able to get a good photo of the quilting on this one or colors of the quilt. Debra's quilt is a wonderful yellow and makes me wish for summer weather! An all over simple design makes for a fun top and a great finish. (Debra, I'll email you a delivery confirmation after I mail it tomorrow)
The week just before Christmas this quilt top came as a RUSH and did make it back in time for binding and gift giving.
The more I see swirls on the different tops the more I love it! Don't you?

This beauty was quilted during the holidays as well. I loved the flannel on the back and makes me think I should do more like that for myself.

Oops...this photo obviously before quilted. I loved the simplicity of using a layer cake and background fabric for a quick and fun top when you have that urge to piece something easy.

Here is one I absolutely LOVED!! Jingle bells was a brand new design that I'd never used before and the client said go for it! Now...I want one of these quilts!!

Here is a closer look at jingle bell quilting.
How many unfinished tops are sitting in your closet just waiting to be quilted?

I just love seeing what you quilt, they are always so beautifully done. I would be afraid to do someone elses, I know I would mess up, lol.

Your work is always inspiring to see. I'm sure I'd have trouble choosing designs for others' quilts, and what you select always looks so logical and right.
I appreciate the details of your photos. I get ideas here & there for my own amateurish quilting.

I love swirls too! Thanks for all the lovely pictures-I never get tired of looking at quilts and quilting.
I have 12 tops that are waiting patiently for their turn on my HQ16, I sure hope I get more than 1 a month done.

I just did my annual "inventory" of projects...I'm too embarrassed to tell you how many are WIP's and how many are plans, and that's just tops. I have 29 -- eeek! -- 29! quilt tops ready for quilting. Three are hand-quilting projects already started, and one I started on the hobby quilter, but I got some railroad tracks and stopped to remove those (it's on the list for January! :-P), so it's nearly finished. That's why I added my list of 12 tops-to-quilt to Judy's UFO Challenge. It's the only way I'll get down to resume my learning curve on the quilter. Can't wait 'til I'm as good as you!! (It'll be years from now!) Love your patterns -- and your swirls are beautifully uniform! Great work as always!!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

What great quilting! I bet you get lots of inspriration from the quilts you quilt for others. How many quilt tops do I have unquilted? Two that I can think of. One is a baby gift that I am going to do some handquilting on and the other I'm not sure about yet.

I am so THANKFUL for longarmers and that they're willing to work on any and all quilts whether they like em or not. That would be very difficult for me and so glad I don't have to do it! Your quilting is BEAUTIFUL!

I love them all, Mary. I really like that daisy sort of thing and the swirly swirls. I have plenty of tops to practice on. I'm just too lazy to get them basted.

Lovely work mary!!
As I have been piecing a bazillion pieces on the mystery quilt I was wondering how difficult this would be to find a quilter willing to quilt it! LOL
