Got Thread?

Got Thread?
I did get the quilting finished and this was what was left on the spool. It was fun watching it dwindle down and I kept wondering if I would make the finish without reloading another spool.
Also another reminder that you still have plenty of time to go vote in the Schnibbles Times Two Contest mentioned in my previous post. Even if you don't have a blog and just lurk or would like to be entered for a prize yourself go on over and vote for your favorite! It's like this...you can't win the lottery unless you buy the ticket.

There are some fabulous quilts in that contest. Everyone did a wonderful job. I voted for yours because your quilting is absolutely gorgeous. The quilting was the tie breaker for me. Hope you win. Winona

You couldn't have planned it better....!Glad there was a little bit left and you didn't have to start another spool for the last few stitches!

You lucked out with that spool of thread, it's good that there was just enough to finish the quilting.

Well did you find something to do with all that thread you have left. LOL

Mary, That single strand thread cone cracked me up. You can't get much closer than that, LOL! A few months ago I ran out of bobbin thread in the middle of a long seam (grrrr), it was my last bobbin so I had to stop to wind a couple. I got the bobbin loaded and without checking the spool of top thread I started sewing, got about 2 inches and ran out of that!!! (GROWLLLL) I have since ordered pre-wound bobbins of Masterpiece Thread from Superior. I absolutely love them. Also got some cones and a cone holder, love those too. I get lots of stitching in between changing spools now and no more winding bobbins, unless of course I am using a special color thread for some top stitching or binding. Hugs coming your way.

OMG I love it when you finish your last stitches before the thread runs out - too funny!

Oh my I can so relate. However mine was using the last 5 bobbins quilting a friends quilt needed for a birthday tomorrow. When I finished, I had only 10" of bobbin thread left!

How much thread was on the spool? It is a whopper! How fun to watch it all disappear I am sure. I love seeing just a small spool disappear...lol.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend dear Mary!
