Mail Call

The last few weeks I've received fun mail besides usual bills and junk. I've gathered it all up in this one photo. Angie's Bit and Pieces sent me a copy of her autographed EQ6 Applique Drawing book that I won on her blog. Pajama Quilter has a brand new DVD out called Rethreaded. She makes free motion quilting a breeze. Go HERE to see a preview. Cindy was a sweetie to think of me while she was visting Sister's Quilt Show and perhaps felt sorry for me since I couldn't go. She gifted me with the sweet Little Wallet pattern kit and goodies. Then today the cutest card showed up in my box with a brand spanking new Schnibble pattern called "Jacks" from Carol just because she knows my addiction well. Thank you everybody for making my mailbox a fun place to hang out!

My blog's background has been replaced with this one for now. Thank you to all who filled me in on the happenings at The Cutest Blog. One thing that I discovered was lots of wonderful information under their SECRETS tab.

I'm busting at the seams with something I want to share with you! You would have thought that I was the winner of the lottery last night when I read my email. My husband and son #2 just looked at me as if I was nuts and they were so confused as to what I was talking about. After telling my son what the item was he quickly says, "Isn't that was scissors are for?" Any guesses?

Well, I think everyone guessed the right answer already! Just ask Son #2 why he needs all those electronics to do the same thing (listen to music), that's why!

Please could I borrow your mailbox for a while? The best mine's done in the past week is a letter reminding me that my car is due for it's annual service.

Mary, I love the treasure trove you recieved in the mail. What a delightful change from the usual bills and junk mail huh? My guess on what your excited about would also be the accuquilt...I can't wait to find out for sure though. You mentioned the Sisters Quilt Show...I'm visiting my Brother and sis in law in two weeks up in Prineville Oregon and she has been one of the coordinators for the Sisters Quilt Show for years. They lived in Sisters before moving to Prineville and I did love Sisters when we were up there. They were a little dissapointed with the turn out this year at the show, it was less than half of past years, but they still had some wonderful entries, she sold one of her quilts too!!! She was both excited and sad about that though, LOL. They also had some really great guest teachers for a couple of seminars, when I remember their names I let you know. I helped my hubby pull up the shed floor and set in new beams today so I'm on meds tonight, needless to say, my head is a little fuzzy. Well, enough from me, big hugs coming your way. OH, and if tomorrow isn't a have to stay in bed day for me, I'll be back ASAP to find out exactly what it was your are so excited about.

Me again, I forgot to tell you that she is taking me to the Stitchin Post Quilt Shop while I'm there, and also a new one in Prineville that she really loves. I'm way excited, I haven't seen them since our dad past away 11 years ago. **sigh** Where does the time go????

Scissors?? Tell your son that is so last century. LOL I wish my mailbox (snail and electronic) was as plentiful as yours, lucky girl.

Such goodies in the mail! Quite a cache there!

Let me also make a wild guess -- is it a time-saving system for cutting many of the same shape using dies?

Jan said...

after reading all the posts, I can't think of anything it could be but an AccuQuilt Go. Enjoy! I use the studio system at work and love it.
Have fun with all your gifts, makes me think of the excitement of going to the post office overseas and the hope that a letter from home had come.

Accuquilt seems to be the consensus - I hope you did win one!
Your new blog page looks lovely.

Cathi said...

Hmm -- I was going to say one of the Gingher rotary cutters, but I guess it's probably an Accuquilt?
