What Schnibbles Addiction?

The above quilt I'll call Jo's Midnight Picnic. This is just the top and hasn't been quilted yet. But I had to leave you with a bit of eye candy before I head off to the beach this week.

As soon as Schnibbles State Fair was announced for June I was ready because I had Moda's charms called Summer's Basket of Flowers set aside for this one. Once I quilt it I will send to Sherry and Sinta for my entry. This Schnibbles was fun, fast and easy!! I started this quilt Friday evening after dinner with one small mishap of spilling 1/2 wine cooler on the pieces! I chuckle here because a fellow blogger did same thing recently! Luckily my cooler was blush pink and not red. Anyway....as I was saying I started Friday evening (rarely quilt at night) and finished Saturday afternoon. Oh yes, better things I should have been doing to prepare for the trip but it is that Schnibble Addiction!
Postal service is holding mail for me so if your tops are on their way to be quilted they are in good hands at the post office.
One last thing...be sure to check the previous post for all the giveaway announcements. There are some really good ones. It got me thinking it has been awhile since I've offered one. Stay tuned.....State Fair soon to be up for grabs!

I like both quilts. :) Midnight Picnic is a perfect name for the black background. I would like to try colors like that.

Two very lovely quilts! Really pretty fabrics. I love the Jo version with the dark fabrics.

I've discovered that I'm unable to drink and sew. Or drink and do anything really. Hope you have a wonderful time at the beach!

Oh Mary, how I wish I could finish even a Schnibble that fast, LOL. They are beautiful. Fun, Fun patterns and yummy fabrics. I just finished my 6th quilt after 2 years of quilting. I may be slow, but I'm steady, (if I don't drop my cane) LOL. In my defense though, one was a king-size bedspread, two were queen-size bedspreads (to the floor all around) one was full size bedspread and the other two are large throws for me to curl up in. The bedspread sizes are so huge that after a certain point it is like wrestling an alligator in my small sewing space, LOL. I do love what sewing time I can handle though...it is so theraputic...a great stress AND pain reliever. Once I really get 'in the zone' I can go for several hours before my hubby yells down to me that I need to take a break. I'm always surprised when I look at the clock to see 2 or 3 hours have passed. *sigh* I love quilting, I'm just sorry I wasn't introduced to it when I was younger! Ah well, I have it now, right? I'm about through making gigantic bedspread quilts though...whew! I hope your week at the beach is wonderful, enjoy and relax. Big hugs coming your way.

Both are lovely little quilts. I have a stack of individual Schnibbles patterns, plus her Schnibbles book -- none made yet, but they keep calling my name.

Oh you do have such fun with your addiction, lol! Love them. I'm really jealous though of your week on the beach. There's no place on earth I'd rather be than the beach. I've only been there once but I promise some day to go back to the ocean, lol!
