Crazy Week

Here is my State Fair Schnibble that I submitted to both Sherri and Sinta for the parade. I'm very pleased with the windy swirl quilting and the binding is nearly finished.

I love Darlene's quilt pattern; it would have been nice if I would have followed directions and cut my charm strips the correct size. This is about 23 x 27 or so. Once quilted I plan to round the border corners. You can learn more here about the Between Charming Friends Quilt-A-Long HERE.
In addition to raising and caring for my family this past week I quilted and mailed four customer quilts; quilted a friend's birthday gift that I can share later). Here it is the last day of June and because my month was so busy it is a blur. Blogging seems to have taken a back seat to all else. Do you ever feel like a hamster on one of those wheels? They run fast but don't seem to get ahead. I've been trying to check blogs in my free time and haven't always left a comment.
I've received some wonderful gifts in the mail from other bloggers that I hope to post about next time as I realized I didn't get photos and camera batteries are dead.
Wishing you all a fun 4th of July! My July calendar looks like fun times ahead and a few surprises.

Your State Fair Schnibble is wonderful! I love it. I wish I had had the courage (skills) to do that swirly quilting design on mine!

I love the quilting in your State Fair! I hope life gets a little less busy for you soon!

Oooh, your State Fair little quilt is gorgeous!
Hope you get some time to catch your breath soon!

Love the State Fair quilt! Also really like your Charming Friends Quilt Along quilt -- who cares if the strips are cut to the right size? It worked & it looks great! I've started making up Schnibble project packs for myself. I pick a pattern & do all of the cutting, putting each of the cuts into snack-sized or larger sized zip lock plastic bags. Once they are done, everything, including the pattern, goes into a big zip lock. That way, I've got 4-5 Schnibble projects ready to roll and on their way to being Christmas presents.

Mary, I love the quilting on your State Fair...it looks like the pinwheels are moving in the wind. Happy 4th of July!

Great stuff happening at the Hollow, Mary. I think we all know that when we don't see your head pop up that you have another date with 'Gam' or that you're piecing one of your masterpieces.

Happy 4th to you as well!

Cute Schnibble! Love the swirly quilting! I was just thinking about hamsters last night! LOL I feel that way a lot lately. ;-) Have a great week/weekend!

I like the swirls--lots of fun movement. I have yet to Schnibble but only because I am resisting starting yet ANOTHER new project. Sounds like you have been "good busy" and not "bad busy". Hope you enjoy the long weekend :)

I love your State Fair quilt, the swirly quilt design gives your windmills movement. Now see, a quilt is never really done wrong because we can improvise. I like how it turned out.

Hampster on a wheel -- that's a good one. That's exactly what it feels like sometimes!

I love both of your quilts. I thought about joining the Between Charming Friends quilt along, but I can't seem to get off my wheel long enough. :)

Sweet, sweet and more sweet. Love the swirlies!

Now, come on, Mary, do YOU follow directions? LOL....now don't tell me a story because I'll ask Mr. Quilt Hollow if you follow directions.....LOL

I can relate to the hamster on the wheel thing.

I think that your Schibble is wonderful. Love the colors in it. I'd love to join in on doing these - maybe when the hamster wheel slows down.

Isn't it amazing how life doesn't stop when you need it to? Love the little charming quilt, I think the next time I attack the scrap bag I'm going to make a scrapy version.

Love that second little quilt. I can almost see it with signatures in the light rectangles.

Glad to read that all the busy-ness coming up falls in the "fun" category!
