Someday....

Did everybody enjoy Mother's Day? Even though son #1 was away at college and my husband away on a business trip; son #2 took me to breakfast and mid-day lunch/dinner out. There was no cooking happening here and it was a pretty quiet day. At first I thought I'd quilt some more on Jan's quilt but then decided it is my day. So out came the "someday granddaughter" blocks that I work on now and then because I'm in no hurry. My grandbabies can wait with boys ages 20 and 16. This quilt excites me. It isn't like anything I would normally make. It still needs another small inner border, a pieced border and then a final border. I'm in no hurry....it is for someday.

That quilt looks so great. It's a good idea to have a 'some day' quilt. Been thinking of that lately myself. My daughter is 26 and I'm dying to have a grand baby! I keep dropping hints, but she isn't listening. Maybe her hubby can talk her into it;)

I had a wonderful Mother's Day and it sounds like you had a great day with your son. What a nice guy to take you to eat and not make you cook :)

So pretty! I worked on a quilt for my first grandchild (which I never finished and gave) but I've made several quilts for my granddaughter and it's an awesome feeling of love to work on them. Great job, keep sharing your progress.

Any day with no cooking is a good day, and when you add some sewing well, that's perfect. I love the quilt and the fabric choices. First we need to recover from teenagers before we have grandchildren, think though how much fun it will be!

Mary, we must be kindred hearts. I have baby clothes and quilts ready for grandbabies who are not even thought of yet! Your quilt is absolutely wonderful!

Now that it is almost finished (and it looks wonderful, by the way) you need to start a wedding quilt or two. While you are at it. I mean priorities and all !! Bet you are glad Jeff is home now!

This is a neat looking quilt. I love the way the blocks add a splash of color to the quilt.

Mary, the quilt is a gem. I love baby quilts that aren't SO baby. I laughed at my son as a four year old still carrying his pastel colored blanket! He thought he was such a tough guy.
