Gratitude and My Weekend

I love "just because" kind of gifts and this is exactly what I received from Karen. She makes the cutest wool pincushions. Go over and visit her and see what I mean in this post! I'm grateful to have met Karen through blogging. Her workmanship is wonderful! Love it! Thank you!!

This weekend has been lonely around here with everybody doing their own thing. This gave me lots of time to work on my own projects. My OSO Schnibble is quilted and still needs binding finished.
Here is a closer look at the design I quilted on the blocks. The line of fabric was Moda's Looking Back. Speaking of Looking Back, I have a pretty customer quilt needing quilted and made from this line. Maybe she'll let me share with you.

Here is the beginning of another project that I started and am making for a friend. She hasn't a clue.
Another glimpse of my someday grand-daughter quilt in the making. I must admit these blocks are addictive and I find myself stitching at least one if not two every evening after quilting during the day.
Jo Club is this coming Tuesday!

I very much like the OSO Schnibble though I don't know what OSO stands for. A very good quilting design on it also.

Mary, What a darling pincushion. I LOVE your OSO quilt! I hope they pick this pattern for A Year of Schnibbles. If they do, you're ahead of the game.

Nice to see a lot of happy sewing and gifts. Karen does make the best wool things! OSO is just perfect with that quilt design. Baby quilt blocks are coming along nicely...no doubt you will have that one done up and in the "Hope Chest" before long. Another surprise quilt? Well, I'll be sure to keep an eye on by mailbox! Ha! Whoever it's intended for it is sure to please. Happy piecing, Mary!

I love the pincushion, but I would never be able use it cos I wouldn't want to hurt the lam or the bird! I was wondering what OSO stands for too, but the quilt is great.
