Random Acts of Kindness

I'm speechless. No words can truly or even come close as to how I felt when this act of kindness was delivered to my home yesterday.

The quilted sea of swirls are perfect! Have I ever met this person? Nope, I haven't. But I do know her name, I enjoy her blog (I've copied a few of her quilts) and now I own a beautiful quilt made from her heart and hands in my home. What means most to me is her thinking of me as she worked many hours on this lap size quilt.
So to my blog friend Darlene; I thank you. I'm beyond words tickled to have a treasure made by you.

Also in yesterday's mail I received a delightful package from Canada. I've never met this blogger. Like most of you who I've never met, but wish I could. To tell you the truth I'd love you all to just move here together. Wouldn't we all be a wonderful guild? Heck, I know half of you who read my blog better than I do my own guild.
So to Cara I want to send a huge thank you for sharing your pins with me! They are adorable!

I completely understand how your are feeling about this RAK. Such sweet JOY! I say we need a bloggers retreat. It's too hard to hug blogger friends via email. :-D

What wonderful RAK's you have experienced....and, as has already been said, very well-deserved. I love the quilt AND the pins. It would be great if we all lived near enough to be in the same guild OR at least all attend a quilt retreat together. Ah....of such things dreams are made.......

Wow Mary, that's awesome. We are both so fortunate to have Darlene for our friend. My best friends are people I've never met in person. I love the quilting too, I keep tracing the design with my finger hoping I can do duplicate that quilting stitch. Cute little pins from Cara too.

Oh Mary, I just thought I'd drop in for a minute and I'm so glad I did. What wonderful gifts! The quilt is so beautiful. I have made that pattern but larger in darker toned batiks for my older grandsons bed. Well, now I think I will have to start looking for another color way, bright and cheerful for a throw size. And the pins...well they are treasures all their own. The rose pins are especially lovely, and the lady bug, well, she's cute as a button (or a bug, lol). Thanks so much for sharing with us. It is hard to express how you feel when you recieve things straight from the heart isn't it? Well done Darlene and Cara!!!
