Schnibbles Gone Wild!

A few post back I had a Schnibbles quilt deal to those who were interested. It has been a busy week and if you see your Schnibbles here prepare your binding! These babies are finished and will be mailed this week. (I'll contact you via email as well)

Ok...the photo below is something I need to point out. If the backing isn't large enough to fit on the longarm this is what happens! I had to stitch extra fabric on to the top and bottom to roll the backing and used these handy dandy side extenders. This is why your longarmer request your backing to be a good 4" to 6" larger than your top.

....and drumroll please because I'm really quite proud of myself for making Sunday's Best quilt the same month as The Year of Schnibbles!! (still needs to be quilted)

PS.....something I learned about Schnibbles.....they take TWO CHARM PACKS. Oh yes, I copied Darlene's Sunday Best she made a few weeks ago as I loved hers with Moda's Peace on Earth. I have to thank Cathy for coming through with the 2nd pack of charms for me!!

Yum! Those are some great looking quilts. I used to be a long-armer (is that a word?) and I recall a few quilts with only an extra thread or 2 for the back. Fun, fun.

Sorry about my backing being too short, I was wondering about that. I am so sorry that I caused you extra work. I will never do that again. I appreciate you quilting my Schnibbles. I agree with the other ladies, all of these look great.

WOW! Awesome quilts...thanks for sharing. I sewed the blocks together for a Schnibble, but discovered that the charm packs I chose just did not have enough contrast...so now I am trying to figure out what to do.

Thanks for parading all of those beautiful tops! You are making it really hard for me to resist the year of Schnibbles!

Put on extra logs in the fire and turn up the heating pad because it looks like another cold snap is coming.

The Schnibbles quilts are awesome...going to to look for some patterns for myself.

Mary, I came back for another peak at your quilting beauties.

I just LOVE the fabric you chose for your Sunday Best. Today is rainy and gloomy (no complaints) and your Sunday Best would be so warm and cozy - that's how it makes me feel to see it made up so beautifully in "Peace on Earth".

Question - do you find that you like your "side extenders"? I have actually seen a couple different homemade versions of this idea and would like to make myself some. Hubby already purchased for "grippers" for me at Home Depot.

It's that "expertise" thing again.
