Finished Kitchen Sink Today

Kitchen Sink quilt received the last stitch on the binding this afternoon followed by a wash, dry and wonderful crinkle! It is now so comfy and cozy! The photos of the quilting didn't turn out very well due to lighting but oh gosh I love the feather border, wavy lines in the inner border and since the middle was busy with so many scraps I quilted all over feathers to fill the space. Would I make this one again? You bet! I'll have to if I want to keep one for myself. This one is going to a very special somebody in my life. (she might read my blog so can't say who)

If you haven't checked out this book by now you are missing out! It is one of Martingale & Company's Top Sellers. There are 18 quilts using 2.5" strips. Thanks to Kim Brackett!

I bought that book recently and just love it. It has more quilts I like than most other books I have puchased. I usually buy a book cause I like one pattern but this one was a gold mine.

That doesn't look like a kitchen sink! Good looking quilt, though. Wonder if it is called that because of the scrappy look. Everything but the kitchen sink.

I saw this one when you first stared on it - and since then have seen the book in my local Joanns... and was on sale for 50% off but didn't grab it up b/c for some crazy reason I can't rule out if or not I already own it or not... As I looked thru it, it all looked so familiar!! But maybe b/c that is b/c I've seen it on several blogs?

I am going to have to take the time to hunt for it in my sewing room soon so that if I find it I can put it in a better place so it doesn't get lost again... ;)

Love how your quilt turned out - the border fabrics are perfect!

Love from Texas! ~bonnie
