Quilt Ladder

I shared the ladder that hangs in my home in an older post. It is one of my favorite ways to display quilts. Recently I was asked what I do with Schnibbles quilts. My honest answer would be that I gifted them. Last year I made four Schnibbles and each found its way to a new home. My ladder displays two recent Schnibbles I made this year. Shhh....one of them won't be staying very long here in the hollow.

My husband and kids made me a quilt ladder for Mother's Day many years ago. A true treasure but I love how you have your ladder hanging.

Mary, I love the ladder idea! Very creative. Yes, the table top quilt will be at Jo's club in Feb. See you then.

This is a great idea! Now, somewhere I'll have to locate an old ladder!

The ladder is wonderful for display. I'm going to look for one. I have a question...what are schnibbles? I'm thinking they are little quilts of some type and I have seen quite a few of them on blogs, but what makes them a schnibble???

novel idea rather than vertical.
Love it.

I love that way to display the quilts...now I'm looking around my house to see if there is any wall space that would work for a small ladder to display SMALL quilts.

What a lovely way to display your quilts. Very clever of you!! Do you know the name of your little Schnibbles pattern?..I had to look twice before I realized both were made from the same pattern! Gorgeous!!

I too love the way you display your quilts....when I get my new home, maybe I will steal the idea from you?

What a cleaver way to hang quilts. And your two new Schnibbles are there, very nice.

That ladder is great. I've got a vertical one, but never thought about hanging one sideways.

Oh, that's a really cute way to hang and display quilts! I hadn't thought about putting a ladder on the wall. I've seen them standing upright. Your quilts look wonderful. I wonder who the lucky recipient will be. I bet this is one of your random acts of kindness. :0)

This is a great way to display small quilts. And I promise I won't tell anyone about the Schnibble that is disappearing!

I know where one of those Schnibbles went last year...hee! Very nice ladder, it suits you and your quilts very well.

Oh what a neat idea.. I had another ladder 'stored(read in need of restoration)' for a similar idea (leaning against the wall) and someone - the horrid dh - thought it was worthy of junk day! argh!!!!
Looks great!!!!!

I think that's such a clever way to display quilts. They look so lovely hanging like that. Perhaps I'll have to pop out to husband's workshop today.......

Love the ladder with your beautiful quilts.. maybe it is time to take out the two ones I have in the garage and paint them... hmmm..
My boss wanted to throw them away... we had used them for displaying in the shop window... and I said.. OH NO... I´ll keep them..;o)
But the worst problem..is that it seems like I had ran out on walls in the house... how could that have happened..lol...

What a great way to display quilts.Love the quilts too!

I've always loved your ladder from the very first time I saw it. Your new quilts look great hanging there.

I love your ladder Mary! I have one too but it stands instead of hanging. It was made for me while my step father was here. I showed him a photo of one and asked if he could make it. He replied sure and take him to the DIY shop for some wood. I was thrilled and still am thrilled with it.

Your quilts are fabulous but I have always thought that! In fact, there is one on there that has been on my to do list for ages. :-) Do you hang them sometimes along the top side too? And do you change your quilts constantly during the year to go with the seasons? Oh and one last question...is that ladder antique? I know...too many questions, right? Just know I love it!

Hugs ~
Heidi

THIS is my dream! To display my quilts in my next home on a ladder....but I had envisioned the ladder vertical, leaning against the wall, but so you could walk under it (maybe not so "lucky" :-)) Anyway, you can see them so well when they are displayed on the horizontal ladder! I love it!
