Mail For Me!

Just have to share with you the sweet little packages that came this past week. Awhile back Sew Cindy had a giveaway for the Just Can't Cut Up quilt kit and I won! I have somebody in mind to make this quilt for! Cindy not only sent the kit but some additional FQ's and the sweet little nine patch ornament she made from heart and her hands. Thank you Cindy.

A few weeks ago Julie and KarenDianne met and decided to have a giveaway and I won. How fun to receive some fun things from two of my blog friends! I just love what they sent and can't wait to try out the Stitching Lines I've read about both here and a tutorial from Candace here. Here is the website for Stitching Lines and check out some of their patterns too! Thanks ladies for your giveaway!

No Quilting To Share

Thanks Kim for sharing your photo secret. Now I have another way to keep my tailfeather glued to my chair here in front of the computer. Playing the little bit I did with the above photo was absolutely fantastic and fun! Maybe I'm last to learn of this site but sharing with you all anyway. Go to this link and have a blast!!

Sure wish I had more photos to share but don't. This week was my Jo Club meeting and I always look forward to show and share. There wasn't anything that you hadn't already seen on my blog so that was a bust! I've been quilting and guess what? I can't share just yet! Shhh..secrets!

So...what you get today is the photo above. These two kittens and beagle pup visit often from the house back behind ours. It is fun to watch all three of them play together. I love having them visit since we have none of our own.

Quilting At The Hollow

This top was donated to me by Karen many months ago. The outside border was to have been appliqued. Well, there was no way that I would get to all of that so I used a variegated King Tut thread called "Autumn" to quilt a large leafy border. Then some wind swirls for the inner border and an all-over botantical motif in the middle of the logs.

One gorgeous quilt. Thanks Karen!

Remember my shared scraps in previous post? These two Schnibbles "Dow Jones" quilts came from the Quilt for A Cause layer cake. One was quilted with feathers and the other with botantical flowers. I've just have the binding to stitch down on the one.

Earlier in my busy week I received this signature block from Jill at The Quilted Rat. Once again the photo turned and photo blurry (my fault). Thanks Jill for sending me your block for my quilt. Anybody is welcome to be part of my quilt by sending me a block.
Remember my giveaway a few days ago? Well, my runner up never came back for a visit and it has been several days. The winner chose the TB Autumn Medley pattern and the Christmas panel. The Ginger Cookie Quilt and Lap Patches patterns are back up for grabs! If interested, leave a comment and come back!! I won't say what day...could be tomorrow.

Give Away Prizes

This giveaway is now closed. Names will be drawn today. Good Luck to you! Well, blogger seems to want to put the photo in this way. Wonder why? Oh, who cares! Tomorrow is the giveaway from out of my closet. I'm parting with a Christmas panel and three Thimbleberries patterns. I've decided to draw two names. The first name may pick two items and the other two will go to the "runner-up." Just remember you must check here to see if your name is drawn. There is still time to enter however you must go to the previous post to leave your comment. Good Luck!

Please except my apologizies if I haven't replied to comments. It has been a busy week of quilting. I do sneak a look at the blogs and check email on my breaks and when I've had time. Perhaps in a few days I will have some things to share with you.

Please click here to go see the Pay-It-Forward (PIF) gift to Carol I quilted this past week. Carol hired me to quilt her top. Well, she is also one of my PIF gals so I thought it would be fun to just quilt her top as the PIF. Carol can now spend her longarming cash on some more gorgeous fabric. (hear that Carol?)

I'm feeling generous. Would you be interested in another giveaway? It is nothing fancy and I still don't know exactly what I'm giving away. It will likely be something out of my own stash that I don't use. I've got stuff and ideas! Free is good right? Here is what you have to do: Visit Carol's blog post to see her PIF and come back here and tell me about it. That's it. If you'd like I'm sure Carol would love a comment too!

This giveaway ends Wednesday evening. The winner's name will be posted here on Thursday so you must come back to see if it is you! Good Luck!!

Blogger's Quilt Festival

I'm a participate in the Blogger's Quilt Festival. Although I've recently posted this tiny quilt I'm showing it again for those who may not have had a chance to see it. This quilt came about from using up scraps that would have otherwise been thrown away; exception of the brown print. Whenever I had left overs I would make little half square triangles and just kept them in a little baggy not knowing what they will become. This quilt will be given away to another blogger soon.

Random Acts Of Kindness

Another day of quilting here in my hollow upstairs. I believe the quilt pattern is a free one off the Moda website. The quilting is an E2E using a design called Deb's Feathers. Can I say it? Love it and want to keep this one too!

Imagine my surprise when I found a package on my porch today from Candace! A simple Random Act of Kindness really made my day. Thank you so much Candace! I want to go fishing with her someday. She post the most awesome pictures of places they go fishing. Click on her name to take yourself on over to Squash House Quilts.

All In A Week

How much can I possible cram into one week? Well, there's quilting to be done.

Then there was a block to make for Terry's quilt. You can read more about why here. I'm the volunteer longarmer for this project of love as well.

Then my DH and I took a small trip away from home for a few days to Pilot Mountain and Mt. Airy. I snapped a few pictures of some cute shops in the old downtown areas.

This quilt caught my eye in one of the many antique shops.

I took several photos of all sort of Autumn displays.

Then on our way back home going through Winston-Salem we stopped at the Dixie Classic Fair.
In between all the above was the usual grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry...the list goes on. Then poof just like that the week is over and now I'm back to quilting.

I've been very busy this past week and at times going "Batty" I think. Anyway, just a quick hello to say I'm still here. The next few days I have a few pictures to share.
