Jo Club Day

Welcome to Plain and Simple Quilt Shop in Apex, NC. This is what you see when you first enter the shop.

Just one of the many beautiful samples on display.

Jo Club day always has fun show and share. Here is a sample of apple core with rick rack and buttonhole stitching.

Another few of this apple core.

These were delightful! I've never tried my hand at wool.

Ok...this snowman...everybody wanted one!

Another Jo member made these tea towels to give as gifts at her sewing bee. Can I join?

This is the one I want!

This is the same gal who had made the tea towels. She says that this quilt was embroidered blocks she won in her sewing group. They are absolutely perfect with Figgy Pudding fabrics!

A better view of Figgy Pudding quilt.

This quilt was HUGE and made with mostly Jo fabrics. See the blocks inside of the houses? She got this at an estate sale and used them in this quilt! Fantastic!! I could only snap a small portion.

Apple core and gorgeous! The next photo I show the close up of buttonhole stitching on the outside edges!

Hope you enjoyed the show!

Thanks for the wonderful eye candy this morning! I love the fall colors in all the quilts and the button hole stitching on the apple core blocks are adorable. I will have to try that!

Robyn *Ü* said...

wow! That star quilt is amazing! I tried to find a website for that quilt shop but didn't have any luck. Do you happen to know the name of that pattern?

*karendianne. said...

Gosh, there's so much talent here I don't even know where to start. Let me think, off the top of my head... I like the log cabin house I guess but then I do enjoy the tea towels best... but wait - the quilt when you first walk in. OMGosh I would admire myself if I had the skill to make that. I'd be proud on the inside. (I'm soooo dreaming okay.)

Cindy said...

Look at those blocks in the houses - how cool. Okay, that is original - I've never seen that idea and I love it.

And that tea towel - just beautiful, so dainty and pretty.

The first photo - what you see when you walk into the shop, appears to be an actual home, is it? What a welcoming, homey, warm feel when you must open the door.
