Aging

Read the first line of my receipt of beer purchase.
Enough said.
It made me chuckle so I had to share.

I know how that feels. I bought a bottle of wine at the store the other night and my receipt says "ID Verification Bypassed." Sigh...

LOL*** So funny - they don't card me anymore either! ;)

That is a hoot! Where I shop they have a sign that says "we check ID for anyone under 43" They have never asked for for ID! Sigh

LMAO, your right Mary, beer being number one pretty much says it all!!! Though I do have to say that the stores around here have a picture of a woman about 180 years old and the caption reads "We even ID her". Just the picture is enough to make you think twice about the beer purchase. LOL

How funny is that! I've never heard of a receipt saying this before but what a great way for the store to protect themselves! Thanks for the chuckle tonight!

Hysterical. I've never seen it stated on a receipt like that before. That's just rude! (but funny)

Very funny, I thought at first it was because you are a regular customer, I was getting worried, lol. We don't have that in Oz but we should.

Thanks for checking out my blog. I was just wondering where you saw the picture of my Buttercup Quilt. Was it on my blog or somewhere else? Just wondering!

This actually made me laugh out loud!
We went shopping at a store that gives a senior's discount and, as Mr. Q.O. qualifies as a senior he asked for the discount. They wanted photo ID proof of his age!! Unbelievable! Now they think seniors are using fake ID's?!?

Joyful Quilter said...

Some @#$% kid at the KFC had the nerve to give me the senior discount without asking for my id...I wasn't even 50 at the time. I think he's out of the hospital now.

Teehee, That's given me a good start to the day. Still laughing!

Depressing, isn't it? I was at the grocery store on senior day and the clerk gave me the senior discount without asking for ID...I still have 8 years before I qualify! :o/

LOL - I once had a gent on the tills ask me for id and I got so excited and got ready to pull out my wallet, when he chuckle and said, "just kidding"! I was so disappointed.

So funny!
We get a discount on Tuesday at our local shop...they know us now, but before we had to show ID...not that we really need ID,. just one look is all it takes to see we are OLDER..lol!

Ooooh...the ID thing. I haven't been checked for my "legal" age since I was sixteen! Now I don't look old enough to get my AARP discounts...huh, is this a good thing?!

How rude!

At least you're now old enough to buy beer and young enough to be "carded". :o)

Mary said...

Now that could make my day! LOL I got asked, this week, if I was old enough to buy dried latex paint remover. I just laughed and thanked her for the compliment!

ROFLOL! That is too funny! They ask me for mine probably out of kindness! lol I read you about aging. I just turned 50 this year! Funny, I don't feel it, well except for a few aches and pains! My mind is still immature! lol Cheers!
