Tidbits of Nothing Post

When I was dusting my sewing room I realized I had not shared these cross stitched quilt blocks. You can easily see by the color they are dated. There was a time when I was quite a cross stitcher. I made a few sets for gifts and I kept these for myself.

I have told you I don't own any animals and I have shared the fact that the neighbors beagle pup and two kitties visit often. Their visits have become a daily ritual and when they get tuckered out I can find this in my front yard; Lexie is just plain tired and taking in the warmth of the sun.

...and then there is today when I happen to look out on my back patio deck and find this! Too funny!! I did say...I don't have any pets!

I used to cross stitch too. Your blocks are very pretty! Love that you have the neighbor pets relaxing on your deck! :0)

When I was little our cat used to hang out on the neighbors deck. I think they enjoyed it was all the animal with none of the headache.

You must be a very nice lady, if the neighbor pets like to visit and feel so at home.

I used to cross stitch until the Aida cloth fabric started getting too small for me to see easily (or maybe it was my eyes getting too old to do it easily??) Your blocks are nice. And I love that the neighbors' pets love hanging out by you. Now....does that mean you have to clean up after them, though???

Cute blocks and yes I used to cross stitch a lot. Hopefully you don't have to feed them too.

I love how the pets feel comfortable enough to come visit you and take a nap! That's so cute. I still cross stitch on linen; however, I only do reproduction samplers now. I like to make reproduction quilts, too! I guess I have a theme going.

The animals must feel your safe and comfortable vibes. It is great that you allow them to rest at your home.
I thought you had a dog??????
I too was a cross-stitcher until I was bitten by the quiltbug.

I think they are trying to tell you you need to think about a pet . . . or two *s*

Those are the kind of pets I would like to have--loaners.

Your porch must be a good resting place for those wandering pets.

I think those two have adopted you. Funny how the dog and cat seem to enjoy each other's company. Cute cross stitch blocks. I used to do lots of cross stitch but not so much anymore.

I laughed out loud when I saw those two on your deck. So funny. I agree, you must be a great neighbor for them to feel so comfortable in your yard. Still chuckling.

The pets have adopted you as their second home. I like that, pets without the responsibility. I love your cross stitch blocks.

They sure do look at "home" on your deck! How fun!

Your blocks are cute! Are you absolutely sure you don't have pets? LOL I think they are trying to tell you something. You must be giving them the attention they need. It's funny that both the cat and the dog always seem to come together.

Must be something about the residents at Quilt Hollow...or maybe the food is better. Whichever it is, they look pretty comfortable at your place, Mary. Methinks you need another pet of your own to fill the void that Meowser left.

How wonderful -- the fun of visiting pets!! They have obviously found a spot they feel very secure to have a nice sunbath. :-)

Cute! You have cute neighbors...lol. I think your blocks are pretty even if you did them long ago. Do you still stitch?

I thought of you today as I drove out in the countryside and near Achterveld.

Yeah, right - you've been teasing us all this time...LOL

For not having any pets - you are sure loved by them. Obviously they feel your love - even IF you don't have any.

As you've noticed - I was on that cross stitch BINGE too....LOL That makes two of us. But better than a drinking binge....or not. LOL

The shared pets are hilarious, seems that they know a wonderful place when they see it. I gave up cross stitch years ago. Tossed it aside for quilting and never looked back, lol, but I still admire the handy work of others. Very nice!
