Hello? Remember Me?

Hello, remember me? There has been a lack of posting for sure. I've been busy quilting but can't seem to show much of what has been going on upstairs. This is a peek of a customer quilt. I've got a custom quilt that I want to show so bad; but can't at moment. Then I've quilted some secret projects for others. Do you know how hard it is to box these quilts and mail them back? Sigh, if only I could keep them.

My youngest turns 16 on Tuesday. Every year since he was a toddler he has requested pumpkin pie for his b-day dessert. This is the first year he has requested a chocolate swirl cheesecake! I've never made one and I don't even have a recipe! Will somebody send me your favorite chocolate swirl cheesecake recipe and fast? Thanks!!!

Yes, I remember you! Happy B-day to the #2 son. I remember the pumpkin pie post last year and if it were a variation on the pumpkin pie, I could help you. But I usually only do cakes that come out of a box. Sorry I can't help. My oldest turns 30 tomorrow!

I do tons of cheesecakes, mostly so I can eat them...I have two recipes for chocolate swirl, one is slightly lighter(using sour cream/2pk cream cheese) then the other (3 pk cream cheese).
I could email either to you if you like.

I use this website TastyKitchen from Pioneer Woman all the time... and I found the recipe above but you could just look through all the chocolate cheesecake recipes here

http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen/?s=chocolate+cheesecake&search_for=Recipes

If you want to visit Pioneer Woman... You can here http://thepioneerwoman.com/ she even has a cookbook published now! I want it soooooooo vvvvveeeerrrryyyyyy bad!

and the tasty kitchen website is here... http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen/

She started a website where people can post their fav recipes for the world to see... and there are even celeb chefs on there that's how popular it is. I highly recommend it for any cooking needs!

Besides when you don't have to search for a recipe, you can spend more time quilting!

Well hello again, lol. It's hard keeping those secrets but at least you've been productive. Sounds like you have a lot of help already with the cheesecake.

I recall you telling us last year that he always wanted pumpkin pie for his birthday. I'm sure you'll find a great recipe and bake the perfect chocolate swirl cheesecake this year for him. Your quilting projects sound like they are going very well!

Happy 16th Birthday to your son! I wish I could help you out with the cheesecake recipe, but . . . well, you know. :)

You're been very busy! I really love your customer quilt. And the quilting design, as always, is fabulous.

I can't help with the cake but I smiled when I read about the pumpkin pie. My 24-year-old requested that every year and usually got it! My youngest is also 16 but she'll be 17 in January. We have more in common than I realized! I can hardly wait to see what you're working on but I'm in the same boat. I'm working on gifts so I can't show them until after Christmas! I hope someone can help on the cake. Cindy

As a child, for my "birthday cake", I always wanted the cheesecake made with condensed milk and cherry pie filling on top. It was the recipe that was always in magazines. I loved that. I had forgotten all about that until I read your post today.
Thanks for helping to bring back one of my memories.

Sorry I can't help with the recipe.

It must be so hard sometimes to give the quilts back, but are there ever times when you just can't wait to see one go, cos it was nothing but trouble, or you just hated it?

I'm looking forward to seeing your projects... once you can share. My youngest is also 16. I enjoy seeing his tastes get more grown up with the passing years. Good luck with the dessert!

Mary - THIS is true: Our son, who is 24 now, NEVER wanted cake for his birthday. He ALWAYS ordered Pumpkin Pie - ALWAYS. Now this is too mucha coincidence. LOL How many order Pumpkin Pie?

Atleast two....LOL

After you make the Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake - let me know - I'll be right over - and I'll even offer to bring the coffee. LOL

I can see that you are keeping yourself very busy with your quilting. I especially love this KT fabric and this snowball block, too. I can't wait to see it all dressed up in the design you are quilting on it! Looks perfect to me.

It's getting close to Christmas, so there will be many surprises, quilts in the works, stories being held back, but soon you will be chatting away about all. I am looking forward to seeing and hearing about "The Secret Quilts"!

I have a recipe for Pumpkin Cheesecake that will knock your socks off! There are so many wonderful recipes out there! Looks like you have plenty of resources now. Please wish the soon to be solo driver a happy birthday!

Pioneer Woman will be in MPLS this month to promote her new cookbook. Close to home for me!

Have a good week!
