10 Facts About Me

Way back in June I received this award from Kim at Magnolia Bay Quilts and completely forgot about it! (sorry Kim!) There are rules to follow.

First, you have to tell your readers 10 things about you they may not already know, but are true.
Second, you have to tag 10 people with the award.
Third, you have to let the people you’ve given the award to know that they’ve received it.
Finally, make sure you link back to the person who awarded you.

Rules can be broken, right? Cause...I'm breaking several of them. First and foremost, every blogger that checks in on me and leaves me a comment gets this award. So...consider yourself awarded and if you feel you want to play along; go for it!

1. I never Twitter (thanks Kim for that one!)
2. I'm not a shopper unless of course your talking LQS. (thanks again to Kim!)
3. Years ago I was on Oprah. Ok...a studio audience member who asked a question and did get on tv.
4. When I lived in California I was a Licensed Pest Control Technician. It was hard for me to go on rodent calls because I actually like mice and rats.
5. Our family pet is a rat named Pearl.
6. When I became pregnant at age 29 I weighed only 98 lbs. What happened?
7. Love just about anything coffee. (who doesn't?)
8. Moved here from overseas without job, family or knowing a single person in the town.
9. While driving, will swerve to miss squirrels....or feel ill in the pit of my stomach to see one hit.
10. Always wanted a little girl terribly, got my two boys and stopped trying for fear of #3.

Nice to know just a little more about you. I was tagged way back in June, too. Oh no!!!

OOOOO...would never have pegged you as one who likes mice and rats!!! I, too, weighed 98 lbs. way back then (as a newlywed).....hard to believe now. really need to tell us the topic of the Oprah show and the question you asked that day, okay? :)

You can keep the rates and mice. Yeah, they're cute...until one eats one of your quilts. Ask me how I know...

98 pounds...I think I weighted that when I was 12.

Thanks for sharing!

That is lovely to know more about you.
I don't remember weighing 98lbs, maybe in grammer school.
I think mice are cute too. I had one as a pet when I was a kid & named him Edgemont.

Thanks for sharing the fun and interesting facts about yourself.... Some of the things we definitely have in common, except the rats and 98lbs!!! LOL

Wow very interesting!

If you don't mind me asking, where did you move from, I am curious?

Have a nice weekend!

Not fond of mice. Screamed when picked up a trash bag for the can, and ended up with a glue trap stuck to my hand (that I had no clue was down there) complete with a two inch furball...seemed perfectly preserved. No smell. Looked like he was sleeping. Super furry.
It really is fun to learn random things about people who's blogs I read! Thanks for sharing! :)

Such great trinkets of Mary! I wonder how many more times you'd have had to try for a girl if you didn't stop? Lory only knows! hee.

I got a good laugh out of you being in pest control, loking rodents...and owning one!!!
Way to go, Mary!!

It was fun reading this post and finding out more about you. I never would have guessed that you like rats! I'm going to have to find out more about Pearl.

I feel the same way about squirrels. So many people I know consider them pests, and try to get rid of them. My husband buys food for them! Maybe that's why they've never damaged our property.
