Quilted Star

Today I took a trip to a fellow longarmer's home to learn some of her tips and tricks. This is the quilt she had on the frame.

The different thread choice for the flowers and leaves stitched over the cross hatching was absolutely gorgeous! It was subtle enough to add to the quilt without taking away from the pieced star.
Also make sure to see all the give aways that I've been posting on my side bar.

The quilting is beautiful!

I love your blog. I think today is the first time I had visited you. Somehow I found you earlier today, but I don't think I left a comment. I was in a hurry. I was excited to see that you have my blog listed on your blogroll. I'll be sure to add yours to mine.

That is a very pretty quilt. How nice that you have another longarmer that is willing to share her tips and tricks with you! (Of course, from what I've seen, you do pretty well on your own without anyone giving you any pointers!)

This looks like a Lonestar. I love them. I have a weakness for stars in my quilts. Beautiful.

I have seen many of those giant star quilts I think they are a LAQ dream to quilt.. not to many seams and a great vase palette to quilt in. I have fabric flagged for this but think I am going to hand quilt it.. I too like the idea of no seams for quiltling..LOL

How great to have someone near that you can share LA experiences with. I bet you both learn a lot from each other.

LA quilters in my guild get together on a regular basis to share new ideas and techniques. I think it's a wonderful idea.

Beautiful quilting. It definitely adds that little something extra.
