Are You In?

Swap closed now due to overwhelming response. I was so on the fence about this one because my heart loves that quilt and my head tells me you've got other obligations. Then a few of my favorite blog buds emailed to say they joined so shoot....I'm in!

Melissa is hosting a civil war reproduction block swap. If you wish to participate she needs you to sign up by August 31st and blocks mailed to her by November 31st. I believe there are 37 signed up at this point in time. I'm on the fence as I absolutely love the quilt on the cover of Jo Morton's book. You can see another Melissa post HERE showing the quilt.

What to do, what to do! Why can't I decide you ask? I know that a different siggy swap went around last year. I missed out on that one. Many of my favorite bloggers aka friends may not want to do another and those are the bloggets that I want in my block swap for sure. So I thought I'd spread the word a bit more here before making my decision; afterall, I do have until end of August to decide right? If I choose not to join I still want to make blocks for the gals I see in the swap who visit me regularly (if they'll have me - LOL!!)

Thoughts anybody? Are you in? Out?

Also, a simple reminder that my one year blogiversary giveaway post is below and ends Wednesday 8am.

As much as I would like to I will pass as I have too many projects that I am working on and wouldn't have the time to add one more to the list!

I've joined in - Jane is sponsoring me! I can understand your feelings and I have had those, too - however, will we have this opportunity again?

I thought about it for a minute. But I have committed myself to FINISHING this year, not starting. With the exception of the Cheri Christmas quilt ...... and your Cheri Christmas quilt! LOL

Sounds fun but I am taking a break from swaps for a while.....I always think I have heaps of time and then the deadline looms and I put myself under pressure to finish on time......! and I need to finish off a few projects that have been "on hold" for ages....

I just read your comment about the story of your boys and the typewriter at Anne's blog. So funny.
I am in this swap. I bought my background fabric and I am going shopping Tuesday to find some civil war fabrics. Come on and join!

I hope you can get enough of the responses you want. I'm not into civil war fabrics myself, but swaps certainly are fun!

I know it's hard to decide. I'm going to sit on the fence for a while but I'm not sure if I'll join.
