Shirley's Help (Love My Kitties!)

As soon as I saw Wendy's basket quilt I remembered that I too had started this project. My baskets had been stitched but set aside. Over the weekend I squared up my basket blocks and put together this little top. Today I marked the lines to embroider the borders.

My no-blog friend Shirley has two awesome hairless cats. This was a fun surprise in my inbox this morning labeled, "Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends."

I'm heading to her house Wednesday for my kitty fix and to visit my favorite quilt shop.

Your quilt is lovely, it reminds me to go finish my redwork quilt. Those cats are adorable! I've only ever seen pics of hairless cats, but they look so cute!

Oh gosh, that's hilarious those cats. They must be a handful. They look like it. I can read the signs, can't you?

Isn't it nice to find something that you had started and put asisde. Only to finish it. Looks lovely. I'm not too sure about the hairless cats!!

Funny how seeing something on another's blog makes you remember UFO's of your own. And not a lot to finish it either.

The quilt top is great...see how a little inspiration can help check off a ufo. The picture of the kitties is too funny. Thanks for the kind words about Courtney's quilt...it was a long process for her, but well worth it.

I like your quilt top a lot and I think those kitties rule more than the sewing machine...I suspect they rule your friend's entire house!! LOL

It loaded fine for me this time Mary and I'm glad because it's wonderful. Sometimes less is more and this is a perfect example. The colors make it very home-y and cozy. I love it!
