State Fair Swanky Style

Pictures never seem to appear as I want them....all out of order of course! The top one is the back of the quilt using up pieces of "leftover" fabrics.

A close up view of quilting with variegated thread.

This was a Schnibbles pattern called, State Fair. I used Moda's Swanky Fabric all because of the quilt below! After working on this customer quilt....I fell in love with the fresh color and rejuvenating feeling of Spring.

I have no girls, no daughter-in-law, no grand daughter....but do have somebody in mind who will be receiving this as a gift in the future.....cause it doesn't go with a thing in my house yet made with love.

Mary, your quilt is lovely. The colors and the pinwheel pattern goes so well together. The quilting panto compliments the spring flowers in the quilt. It is so nice of you to give this quilt to somebody as a gift.

Mary, it's darling and truly like a breath of Spring. I'm not familiar with the Scnibbles patterns. After seeing this, I'm going to have to look them up.

Thanks for sharing!

Mary,
Love your quilt and the quilting too. It is perfect for those flowers.
It will be a special gift.

This pattern with those fabrics is so pretty! (And your quilting is wonderful.) What a lovely gift for whoever is the lucky recipient. Also...I was taught at a class that our quilts do NOT have to go with our decor, so you shouldn't be afraid to keep this if you really like it. (I know....not being "matchy-matchy" is hard for me, too!)

Oh my gosh that is so, so, so sweet, fun and cute all at once! I love it.

Naturally I think you've done a great job with the quilting but to my taste, the variegated thread really adds that extra simple, classic touch. I completely dig that!

It's the little things that count. You have a great eye and good taste, which makes me wonder why you allow me in the Hollow but I'm not going to ask questions or push my luck!

Lovely work, and sometimes we don't need any other reason, than the fabric makes us happy. Who cares if it matches anything we own, if it brings a smile to our face, and gives us a good feeling. And I'm certainly smiling. Thanks.

Sometimes you just need to make a quilt up for the joy of handling the fabric. Lovely quilting as usual. :)

I love your State Fair quilt! Good choice using Swanky fabric. The back is beautiful too. Good Job. What pattern did you use for the second quilt? I'm thinking the fabrics on the 2nd quilt must be April Cornell, probably Celebrate Spring or something.

I love it - it's adorable! Remember, quilts don't have to match your home - just put in a corner for surprise splash of color.
