The Quilter's Cheer

I received a cheer today from fellow blog pal Darlene that I'm sharing as it wouldn't get out of my head while I was stitching!

OK, I'm going to stand on the sidelines and cheer you on! Go, Mary, Go!!!!

Give me an M
Give me an A
Give me an R
Give me a Y

What did you spell - MARY!!!!! Go Mary, push 'em back, push 'em back, wayyyyyy back (that's for pushing the fabric under your presser foot to the back of your machine LOL) Work with me, here!!!

Well I did keep on stitching; then lots of pressing and now I have 200 of these little squares to trim. I still have more cutting and haven't even stitched half the pile I cut yesterday. But I'm loving this one!

On another note....Meowzer has gone missing...this is day four. The shelter doesn't have any white cats and I fear the worse this time. You know how sometimes you talk about something or in this case write about it...and it turns itself around? This is what I'm thinking....I wrote this...so hopefully he'll show up.

I hope your kitty shows up - I know how horrible it is when they go missing.

You are doing an awsome job on those blocks :o)

Praying for kitty's safe return. Our Snappy was gone for over a week one time, we never knew where he'd been; but he came home just fine, a little thin but fine nonetheless.

Sorry about your cat...hope he is home by now...

Hope your kitty finds his way home.

The fabrics in your quilt just ring my bell. Absolutely gorgeous, Mary. Can't wait to see what they look like when they're assembled.

Thanks for sharing.

Love the star points!! I had fun doing them in the Cathedral Stars too....miles of binding to go....

I hope Meowser shows up. He always has before, right? Think positive! Oscar went missing too..and came back with his ears all scratched up and bloody....Spring fever for male cats, neutered or not, I think it's in their blood to wander..

Mary, I'm peeking at those blocks and I think I've seen something like in my dreams!!!

Also you will find me sending along a packet of knowing. Knowing we'll see kitty soon, visualizing it. This packet has lots of power, energy and cosmic vibes. Hold fast, kitty is coming.

LMAO...love the cheer, and I can see why it stuck in your head. I'm so sorry your cat has gone missing. That is so upsetting. I have to tell you though, I had cats all my life until about 20 years ago when my hubby and daughters developed allergies to them and had many of them go missing. They were all house pets, but would slip by occasionally. Two of them (not together) were missing for almost a month each and turned up, hungry but no worse for wear. Cats are amazing creatures and are very good at finding their way back when they are ready. I pray yours will do the same.

Oh, I do hope your kitty comes home soon!

Your blocks are so pretty. I think all of the cutting and piecing and sitting and sewing and pressing takes more perseverance than applique. You are a piecing machine!

Can't wait to see what the finished product looks like! Danielle

Great success in the sewing department and hopefully the same for Meowsers! I would feel sick if one of my guys vanished. He could return anytime, could be he's enjoying a sunny corner in somebodies home right now - until he gives them the slip and heads home again!

I'm thinking these will be star blocks with a solid square matching these flying geese type blocks, am I right? I hope your little kitty comes back safe.

I know your kitty will return. We were just telling stories about our old cat. Sometimes he would disappear for 2 weeks. Always came back though. Think positive! I also love the blocks you're working on...the fabric is great.

Hope Meowser comes back, quickly and safely. Our pets become such close members of the family and members without smart mouths who give their love freely. Prayers for safe return.

Oh Mary, I will send prayers for kitties return.
Love how the blocks are coming out. Makes me want to go and start cutting up my stash.

Nope, I'm in Utah but her daddy (the Raider's fan) is from Texas. Go figure? You think he'd be a Cowboy's fan.

Oh no! I hope your kitty makes its way back home. The cheer was great fun and has worked because you really have a lot sewn. Thanks for your email and yes, I did just miss this entry last night. :-)

Glad I could bring you some memories seeing the Dutch farmhouse.

Looks like Darlene's "Cheer" worked like a charm! You have been stitching up a storm! Looks great. Can't wait to see what you are going to do with all the stacks you've pieced together.
I hope your kitty shows up. Have you tryed the crawl space under the house? Or in a neighbors? Here kitty, kitty! It's time to come home.

What a lot of trimming to do, I hope your arms aren't suffering. It's looking good just from the fabrics. I hope your cat is just having an adventure.

Again, sending hugs and lingering support for you and Meowzer to keep safe. I have a sense he will return. I don't have a crystal ball but I think I have a sixth sense. I've been wrong in the past but truly, not often.

Spidey Sense, *karendianne.

I hope Meowzer shows up soon! Our kitty went missing for four days last year and we all feared the worst. On the fifth day he showed up for his breakfast as if he'd never been gone! Silly cat! LOL

Meowser will be back. Our Fritz was gone for Christmas last year but returned three weeks later. Cats are survivors you know.

Hope kitty returns home soon...! The one time ours got out, he showed up a few days later curled up in the garage scared to death. Now when the door opens, he pokes his head out then turns around and finds a nice place to take a nap.
