A Finish and Old To Me New To You

As you can see, binding on and a tea bath. I love the warm look and feeling of my new crinkled up quilt. My little quilt was placed on this rake only for the picture here today. I'm still searching around my house to see where I really want it. Most of my quilts somehow end up in the living room area. This is where I see them all the time!

Valentine's Day around the corner and everybody showing off great heart quilts so I thought I'd share an old to me but new to you. A friend made this one for me many, many years ago and I still treasure it today as the first day I received it.

Skies are looking dark, winds are blowing and the air warm for February. We are in for a big storm this evening. I'm right smack dab in the center of NC.

Love the colors on both of the quilts! Went for a walk at lunch and was about blown away. It'll take hours to get the knots out of my hair!

It is very windy here in Northern Indiana. But almost all the snow is gone.
Does the tea dye bath stay or does it launder out?
I love the look of tea dyed fabrics.

I love your new scrappy quilt, it looks wonderful on the rack. We had wind yesterday as well, with a bit of snow mixed in for fun.

You have to smile when you look at those hearts. Great reminder of a friend.

I just love the look of "old" so your scrappy, crinkled up, tea dyed quilt is "new" and great in my eyes.

Love the rake . . . it's a great quilt holder *s* I have a rake, too - but Hubby doesn't think it would be a good holder. I wonder how long I could hang a quilt from it before he even noticed.

The rake make a great quilt hanger and perfect for your new quilt. Love your valentine quilt from your friend. Bit of snow here.

Both the quilts are lovely. I especially love the look of the triangle quilt after its bath.

I love both of them. I have an old scythe I want to hang a quilt on out on the back deck. Gotta wait for Spring, though. I know Libby (Simply Libby) hangs quilts outside all year on her gate. The tea dye does wash out in the rain and needs some re-do on occasion.

I absolutely love both quilts. I have a pile of hst's here that I have been sewing up as leaders and enders. They are mainly done now, just have to trim them to a consistent size, then I will be ready to make a quilt similar to yours. I can't wait. Also, could you sometime please share how you tea dye your quilts? I'm always interested in how others do it. Thanks for sharing.

Both quilts are just spectacular. I still plan on making the top one. Just trying to finish quilting some projects before I go into the sewing room again.

Both quilts are great but you know I am partial to the applique one. Did you have bad storms last night? Wasn't bad here at all.

The heart quilt is just wonderful! It has a soft look to it.
I never thought of hanging a quilt on a rake handle. Good idea. And the little quilt hanging on it is certainly a winner. I wouldn't mind having one like that.

Ooh I hope that you kept safe from those storms. Even us in the North got hit pretty hard.
