Boxy Stars Update

This Boxy Star quilt top was started last September using up scraps. Bonnie snagged it from me before the borders were on it to show at guild presentations. She offers Boxy Star free on her website with many other free patterns. I've snagged it back so I could get quilting on it. You may have remembered me posting this one already without borders and I asked for blogger input on the border fabric choices. Today was spent sewing on borders and I really love the way they make the quilt top sparkle. It is a good size quilt that needs lots more fabric for the backing. Maybe I'll just do the back scrappy too using random bits and pieces.

Your Boxy Star quilt is beautiful. I looked at this pattern from Bonnie so many times, just might start one for myself one day too.

I love the colors you choose for your quilts. This one is another beauty. I can see why Bonnie was showing it around during her talks.

Hi Mrs. Hollow!

I love this pattern. What a great way to use up leftover jelly roll strips! Goood choice for the border.

BTW-the truck is loaded and my house is empty. Scary, sad, and happy!

Have a good Friday!~

Your border choice really frames your quilt. The block pattern is great for a scrap quilt. It will be even better quilted.

I just made one of Bonnie's Pineapple Quilts but was torn between that pattern and the Boxy Stars. After seeing yours, I know I must make one! I think your border fabric is just perfect in contrast. What a lovely quilt altogether! Thanks for sharing.

Yes..I did this 'boxy star' months
back...I just can't seam to find
the fabric I want for the borders.
I have a sample of the fabric...I
just can't find anymore of it to
buy...DARN...I hate it when that
happens!!
